T-Ball, Good luck with your struggle to be within 5 seconds of me on Saturday. Better call in sick to work this week and study that course map. Also, here are some examples of what slow and fast look like through Tony's lens. Notice the cones are clear, due to the car in focus lacking skills and speed, looking like grandma getting milk and eggs. Now notice the cones on a fast car in focus. The cones are all blurry due to the furious pace of the Torque Monster and its driver.

I am on 15x8 et 25 with 205's and stock suspension. Hard cornering = slight grinding of fronts. It's the offset on those wheels that are getting you. Stock is something near 45, I believe. The front doesn't need a roller. Just pull the fender liners out and bend the tabs back just a bit. If you want, come look at my Miata. It'll be there this Saturday and I've done exactly that to mine.

isnt pulling fender liners illegal in STR ? I know in SP we have to leave anything inside the hub face

If anyone actually wants to protest it, screw it.. I'll switch to STO and just run there from now on. My car is already so utterly outclassed in STR that it's not even funny, so if it means having to put my fender liners back and go back down to skinnier tires.... well that just ain't happening.

just run them, secure them as good as possible and let them wear out whereever they do.

just run them, secure them as good as possible and let them wear out whereever they do. I have to bend all the mounting tabs out of the way or they cut down my tires. The only thing I could do is superglue it in place.

Withing using a heat gun to heat up the paint...Using a bat like that is a great way to crack your paint... I forgot about that he need to flare painted metal. We used the bat on dented sheetmetal. Remember I still got alot of oval track in me.

Ah, spending the night polishing parts for the MG. It needs to be asthetically pleasing. Sure i am doing things to make it faster. But it should look nice, too. After all, Mr. Ball did not say anything about artifical time adjustments , so i guess he means "heads up' he will out run my poor old MG on time. So he is betting his uber new Krautcar can outdistance my old car. Therefore i should make my car as nice and shiny as possible. So young Mr. Travis does not feel as bad about having to lick the parking lot clean.

Wasn't this supposed to be about Trash talkers backing it up? lol Just kidding Travis, Also that guy was hardly a novice. He just happened to qualify for an "N" on the side of his car. technicality... ;D Do we need to get the excuse generator out? Are his wheels too fast? Wait his pax is too good, or it's the hair, yeah his hair makes him fast. Hahahaha. You guys are funny. Are you guys jealous of the hair or something? Oh, and I could technically race with an N all next season if I wanted.

(and there were a lot of "Pros" missing, more than half) Tad got number 8 (nice job by the way! Still not a Novice lol! And yes we are all Jealous of the Hair!).

The price was too good to refuse for the wheel+tire combo. I appreciate your advice, all I need is deep pockets.

Wow, how about the weather forecast for November? I don't think it could be better, High of 70 and a 0% chance of rain.
Last time I was at Zmax was at the supershootout/monsoon.
Looking forward to this.

Here you go, study hard kids. Is it just me, or do other people have to turn the map upside down in order to understand it? I guess I just like it upside down because it is like looking at it from the paddock.

I tried that map upside down thing. It was really hard to find the course with all the cones stuck into the ground. ;D hahaha. Good one. As far as Novice goes, I don't plan on running novice again after this year anyway. The problem is that there is maybe one other person that drives STC, so I don't really have any competition. Novice is actually very competitive and fun this year. Not sure how it normally is. I am by no means saying that I will be beating the Pros this weekend, but I will most certainly try. I did get some new goodies for my car that should help that. I know that there is a reason that they are called pros, and that is why I always compare my times to them. I want to see how I am improving, and that seems to be the best way to do it. Also, that Tire Rack Trophy looks pretty sweet. I hope to be able to make it out there one day.
