I was literally logging on just now to post this exact topic. Was wondering if there would be any charity event this year... Knights, Metrolina, or otherwise.

Knights, Metrolina, make no difference to me. If I were choosing I'd pick Knights. Just because it's in my home town, and I never got a chance to run there. I know the majority of people would say I'm not missing much though.

+1 for carrowinds, still hometown for us chris, but alot better conditions.

I liked Carowinds when we ran there (last year?). I have no problem with any of those sites. Just don't make it on December 8!

If you need more seat time you have Triads's event this Sunday at Danville (2nd best nearby site). And you have SCR running at Darlington in 2 weeks.
If people want to do a Charity event. Who is getting the truck? Who is setting up the event? Who is doing the course and set-up?
I'm tired.

I don't hate Christmas, kids maybe.  I'm open to doing a charity event (Metrolina/Knight's most likely. Carowinds is a hot mess), but I need stuff taken care of first. Who's volunteering? Truck driver and someone to drive the person to the truck in Monroe. Course designer and set-up. And whatever AJ and Duck need done. |

I've never helped with step up before, but now is as good time as any to learn. I can help set up as long as the date works with my schedule.

Use a previously run course... If it's gonna happen, I'll arrange Toys for Tots again. Work travel will keep me out of the setup activities..

I'm with Licursi on this... I'm about burnt out for the season, especially after what happened to Cyndi's car at ZMax. I'm doing Danville this Sunday and Darlington in a few weeks, and then I'm about ready to put the Miata on jackstands, start off-season work, and take a vacation for a while. If it happens, I'll be there to hang out and run timing and stuff, but I won't be driving my car. If anyone needs "instruction" (aka letting me drive your car) that's always a possibility too |
