Or if you really want, I have AXware set up in a VM I can give you access to via TeamViewer if you want to do it one night before then.

I'd be happy to be a regular for timing if y'all need another. I've got a descent grasp on the AXWare software and am pretty confident in my geek abilities to figure out any problems that arise. The main thing I need is for more problems to happen to get more experience on how to minimize their impact. The last few events that I ran timing at SCR I got kind of spoiled because it was running too smoothly with scanner check in for the cars, and new timing lights that were working near flawless. Made running timing feel like nap time! hehe

Indeed Though seeing Feeney with a piece of cardboard taped to his helmet so there would be something to trip the finish lights was AMAZING I told him to start selling sponsorship opportunities on that next year! I doubt the USPS paid for the advertising they got

Was really ticked off about that too cause it was the last event of the season =/ But I saw the pictures of the cardboard on the helmet, it looked quite amusing

Thank you Lee for stepping up to be a truck driver.
Who else is stepping up to take on some responsibility?
We still need some people who can help get the driver to and from the trucks storage location.
We could use a Chief of the Course? Someone who will make sure the coolers are always filled with ice and bottled water. The course is chalked and lined, the flags and fire bottles are at the stations and co-ordinate the picking up of the cones afterward.

First of all, it's "role" not "roll".
I will show up more often than I did last year (I know, how hard could that be) serve as SSS, and try my best to use diplomacy, humor, and good nature to point out and correct stupid spelling mistakes, stupid safety violations (like turning your back on cars and talking on cell phones while working the course) and stupid organizational and policy decisions (like trying to run events with everyone lumped into 9 giant PAX classes.)
Cheers, Jack Mc

Cheers, Jack Mc First off, it's true, my spelling and grammar do stink. Second, this is not a stupid spelling mistake, I spellt the word right, so it is a grammar mistake with me using the inappropriate word. Third, the 9 class system is not stupid. Competition breeds many good things. And in 30+ classes, we have no competition.

I'll be happy to help with waivers again, and wherever else I can help. Hopefully I'll find an opportunity to actually try DOING timing - wanted to start with smaller event, but those usually only had two run groups so I was driving or working. Honestly I'd like to stick my head in on all the other major aspects just to get a feel for them and so I can help out in a pinch, so let me know where there's a shortage and I'll try not to f it up too bad.

We also need a "dinner steward" that can act as a party planner to organize the after-event entertainment. Figure out where we want to go... mention it at the driver's meeting, get a head count, get a table, etc. We had a good turnout after the last two events at the Hickory Tavern and Flying Saucer.... so we need to keep that up! Guess i represent that remark.trying my best to make the club sociable. I don't think Shoney's takes reservations...

I've sorta mentioned it in some of my more recent posts, but my new job has me traveling pretty much Monday-Friday every week, and some weekends too. I plan to be at all of CCR's regular points events, but I don't think I'll make any night events. My spot on the CCR "traveling crew" is in jeopardy too. Not sure how many Triad events I'll be able to make.
As far as work, I plan to continue in the role I had last year: Which is Safety Steward and general laborer at events. Plus I'll keep plugging along as CCR's Internet Publicity Nerd.
I think Nancy will come and help with Registration and Timing as well, but she is currently still working retail, so she will be hit or miss.

I will be happy to take any help Nancy could provide at any event she is able to come to.. sounds like Timing is starting to get a good number of people who are willing to learn and do that.. but we could use a few more at registration. As the Queen of Taking Names I'm willing to teach anyone, we do need someone who can do our express line for the ones that have preregistered, prepaid and are SCCA Members. This would give me more time to deal with the weekend memberships and stuff and get all of those into the computer spreadsheet.

We still need some more help in areas.
Still need an Official Novice Chief (Kuhn, cASSino and Hodges will help anyone who takes the job.)
Still can use some more Timing and Waiver help.
Still need a Course Chief to make sure everything with the course is ready for cars. That's an easy job.
Still need people who can transport the truck driver to and from the trucks storage location in Monroe. Not a work assignment but a Free Autocross!
Also, if anyone wants to learn how to do more just let me know.
