Since almost nobody responded to the most important of the 3 questions in the Upcoming 2013 Autocross Season post.
What are you going to do to help in 2013?
Chair - Me and AJ
Timing Guru - Duck / Mike D as back-up to Steve
Registration - Mecca, Shorty, Cyndi, Nancy when available.
Timing / Audit - Mecca, Shorty, Cyndi, Donna L, Ashley Wise, Steven Hickerson, Jad-Rice, Alan J.
Tech - Marske, Kuhn, Phil, Taylor, the 3 Raley's. Unless someone in Tech is not going to come back in 2013, Tech is good.
Truck driver and helper - cASSino (Truck Driver), Lee (Truck Driver) I need more help here, and also somebody who can drive the truck driver to and from the club trailer storage location in Monroe. This is a position of payment, not a work assignment, drivers will get the autocross for free, and get reimbursed for the gas usage.
Waivers - T-Ball, Alan J and Andy
SSS - T-Ball, Amy, JB, Jack, Eric, myself, Hodges
Worker Steward - Travis T
Novice Master - Still nobody officially has the job. But Hodges, Kuhn and cASSino will help.
Solo Pitbull / Angry person - Amy
Course Chief - someone to make sure the corner stations have red flags, fire extinguishers and coolers that are full of Water and Ice. Also make sure the cones are marked and the course is lined with flour.
Please let me know what you can do this year. And if you can or can't do the job you did last year.

I'm good as waiver chief again next year. We could use one other regular in the case that the dynamic duo of T-ball and Alan can't make the same event. Two working waivers is an absolute minimum, and three is preferred (especially at zMax) to keep the lines moving and allow for course walks for the waiver workers.
And lol at the solo pitbull.

I'm good for my registration and timing roles (of course extra help would be greatly appreciated). The Josh's and I don't bite (well maybe a couple of us do and I won't say which ones).
Also hope to improve my driving skills and enjoy racing a whole season for a change and hopefully get better and approve along the way... of course that depends on the German engineering of my car and its ability to leak some type of fluid at some point in time and shut down events for hours at a time.

Timing nerd checking in. Timing is easy to run (as long as you're paying attention) and I would be glad to teach anyone to do it at our first event or novice school. I'd prefer to have enough people that have a basic concept of how AXware and timing works that even the person doing manual audit logs is familiar with it, too.
Daniel was a GREAT novice chief and we were lucky to have him helping out. But with a kid now, and being the co-chair for SCR AutoX... I know it's gonna be tough for him. We need to have a dedicated novice chief who can do the worker chat with newbies, lead a course walk, offer some basic advice, ride along if necessary, and find someone for newbies to ride along with. I would say you certainly don't have to be the greatest driver or instructor in the world... just willing to help out and answer questions.
Someone step up!

I intend to do very little. i will maintain SCCA merchandise. Willing to help Waiver guys ( Coolguy is doing a great job), Stand in as solo safety steward. Answer novice questions. Help with registration. Kiss Amy for all she does.Otherwise, not much.

My wife Nancy is interested in learning/doing registration.. But when she shows up, she needs to be taught and then allowed to do it.
She doesn't autocross (yet) so if she gets up at O-dark:thirty to come to an event, she will be pi$$ed if she just stands around and watches, and probably won't show up again.

I'm all for doing registration and timing again as well. God forbid we need help in Tech one day, if so I can help there as well. And I'm up for helping with taxi'ing trailer drivers to and from locations. My only 'set back' would be work schedule. Not having a set schedule every week means it would vary when I'm able to do it or not. But when I can I will.

I think Kuhn just needs to step up and say " I Micheal Kuhn will be novice guru". Daniel will be co chairing scr solo so I'm sure he will be stretched thin. I nominated Kuhn for this last year and it fell by the waist.
And what about joe price as my +1 on waivers. He came through for us on some clutch times. Joe? How bout it

And what about joe price as my +1 on waivers. He came through for us on some clutch times. Joe? How bout it Travis, I'm happy to assist with waivers anytime you need it. Just let me know and I'll jump in. Additionally, I'd be interested in learning about some of the other core functions if possible. I've enjoyed helping Mike with course setup and will continue to volunteer for that when I can, but I'd also like to learn timing and maybe be a back-up for Travis T. as worker steward. Unfortunately, I can't commit to being a "lead" in any one area due to the fact that I have 4 sons that play various sports on the weekends. Rest assured that I will do all I can to attend every CCR event that is offered, but I gotta put the kids first if I run into conflicts.

Joe you have 4 sons? and yet you bought a BRZ.. I like your style! Ha, ha! Yeah, my driveway looks kind of funny with a mini-van and a BRZ parked side-by-side. The BRZ is definitely not practical, but when you have 4 little boys running around your house, you need something to help you stay sane.

And we continue to learn about our fellow nut cases.
Kuhn, if you're willing to step up with Novices that would be cool.
Joe, I appreciate your enthusiasm. Waivers, no problem. Timing, I thought you were already learning that. Worker Steward, Travis would be GREATFUL to have the help. We've been trying to find someone to help with it. Workers is a two person job, I would know.

Making an effort to be more of a presence this season. Hopefully will not be out of the state as much this year for my second internship. Would be more then happy to help transport the trailer and truck. I have quite a bit of transport experience. Could also work timing, and anywhere else needed. ;D just let me know

I intend to be around as much as possible to harass AJ and Licursi and constantly remind them Triad is better and I could help as SSS or Novice Coach or whatever is needed . Actually considering moving our Region of Record from Blue Ridge to CCR since BRR doesnt seem to be interested in running Danville or the Roanoke area any more and we now run most of CCR's events...........But being a CCR and Triad member might be a conflict of interest

Travis I'm more than willing to help with worker steward stuff. Did it a few times this past season.
The more I can do the more fun I have and the better I feel.

Anthony you do a darn good job at that LOL. We will continue our, seemingly hollow, threats of taking you down every year Seriously I always value your inputs and am GREATFUL that you help us out as much as you can. Thank you! Make the change. The conflict of interest will make NCAC time humorous. Lee it would be great to have your help around again. It's been so long, do you remember how to do timing or registration? Haha.

We also need a "dinner steward" that can act as a party planner to organize the after-event entertainment. Figure out where we want to go... mention it at the driver's meeting, get a head count, get a table, etc. We had a good turnout after the last two events at the Hickory Tavern and Flying Saucer.... so we need to keep that up!

It's good to see SOLO staff getting covered early. The lucky person that is awarded the Role of truck and timing trailer driver for SOLO events, will need to contact Tony Wentworth with drivers license info for coverage on the CCR insurance policy.
