How about Senior class or Experienced class or Advanced class? Tell your friends you're running in the Pro class, and you get instant respect. The new class needs a name with similar built-in bragging rights. "Intermediate" just doesn't do it. And, as noted above, "Open" is already a term in common use in the solo community.

I'm in! I want to run with Will Ferrel! No matter how we do it, a class or way it is viewed will be comical to some stand point. I do like the idea of giving the class a little more pizzaz. Sparkly!!
