It's ok. You have to find another reason that I beat you. But I'm sure you and James can put your heads together and think of something good.

Looks like some new BFG's are coming out tomorrow (g-force Rival) that could be faster than the ZIIs... wonder if tire rack can switch my ZII order to those if they are in fact faster.

Maybe faster at first, but I heard they use multiple rubber compounds to make them. Which means when you wear out the soft, fast part of the tire you get to the hard, slow compound. Like the Toyo.

Tire test insider info from today ... BFG faster by A LOT ! ZII next in line . Toyo , then Kumho . The BFG is a different compound at the 1/32 mark , no worries until its nearly worn out .

Just called Tirerack and they said the BFG's will be available in April, at least the 255/40/17's and they will be $40 more per tire, compared to the Dunlop ZII

What's up with the mass exodus from the 'kooks?

What's up with the mass exodus from the 'kooks? Because the sidewalls are made of "Jelly" and flex way too much in transitional elements, and give you little to no feedback in the drivers seat. I left "kooks" over a year ago, and have not looked back. I love the Direzza Star Specs, and hopefully will love the ZII

Dunlop still has no love for the Lotus. No 205/45R16. Maybe BFG will show us some love.

Because there is no ST class for Lotus. Not counting the new RT classes...
For those of you about to purchase the ZII. You can either buy mine. Or wait for the BFG's.

I love the Direzza Star Specs, and hopefully will love the ZII and according to the results from NOLA the new BFG is quite a bit faster than the SS's ..... BFGs were faster than the new Dunlops by a second on a 2+ minute road course, in a single test... and they were never compared on an autocross course. I think I'll wait for more results before deciding to jump the ZII ship.

I think I'll wait for more results before deciding to jump the ZII ship. Tests have already shown the Z2 and Toyo to be nearly identical on a 45 second course in 75 degree weather ....the Rival beat the Toyo handily on a 60 degree day . Take from that what you will . I'm betting they are car and course dependant .

I can attest to the Rival having some really nice progressivity and being easy to drive. Haven't had the chance to drive it vs. the D-II yet but it easily cleared the old star spec during development testing. Just wish they had come up with another name...my vote was for the Talent T/A.

Dunlop still has no love for the Lotus. Oh yes they do. 275/35/19. :-D Maybe I'll get time to play this summer and try out RTR.
