True, but hopefully with all the events being a little more than an hour's drive from Charlotte, we can convince more people from CCR to travel and come do some Triad events!

Since people are always saying that they want to run on a variety of sites. Well if you travel, you do get to run on a variety of sites. |

sorry for being such a noob, but i didn't realize there were other clubs besides SCCA doing autoX. looks like membership for triad is cheaper, too. it's not that far, but with gas factored in, the per event costs seem to be a wash. do a lot of people run both SCCA and triad?

Mickey, there are people that go do events every weekend. They travel around. Quite a few of us try to hit up four regions and nationals.

There is always a good sized group of Triad members at CCR events, and we've been actively encouraging CCR members to make that short drive for Triad's events.
We typically have a caravan from the Charlotte area leaving early for their events.
More than a few of us hold dual membership. You need to be a member to earn season points.

Just a reminder guys and gals.. The February TSCC meeting will be this Thursday, the 21st at Coopers Ale House on West Market St in Greensboro. Bench racing starts at 6:00pm, meeting at 7:00pm. Our Test and Tune will be March 3rd at LJVM Coliseum in Winston Salem (same complex as Dixie Classic Fairgrounds) on March 3rd. Registration is now open and can be found here: events.auto-x.com/event/detail/82/The event is free for members.. Yearly membership is $25, can be done on the spot March 3rd and get's you a $5 discount at all TSCC events! Over 9 events for the year, the membership more than pays for itself! |

I always looked at it as the membership is free if you pay $25 for the test n tune.
They run such a smooth event each time and Mr. Hodges (drum3) does a great job with the courses, so it is always fun.
