This is the first year in the past (11) that I will not be racing...atleast a dedicated car anyway. Sold the corvette in 2012 to focus on family abit more as I had my second Daughter arrive this past summer. Anyway I will be at the Z-Max event but just a photographer this time. I have a friend named Danielle who is looking to get involved in some Auto-X this year and plans to come out to the race on Saturday. Obviously since I will not be driving I cannot give her a ride along to experience the fun of this type of racing. Is there anyone out there that is willing to give her a lap around the course? For those of you on the fence, here is my best sales pitch: She is sweet as can be, very cute, single and comes from a family of racers (but not Auto-X) ....she is also a professional Figure Skater. Rick, I would be more than willing to let you ride as well. There are quite a few of us that don't mind having "ballast" Steven, much sarcasm. He is more like the horse that will carry the Miata across the line in first place Nearly no fat though |

Riding in the Schoonmaker Z06 is extremely addicting. Concord police may make it a misdemeanor if they start giving out too many more ride-alongs.

Rick, my passenger seat is always open to whoever... and if you are up for it, I really wouldn't mind if you rode along and gave pointers... My new to me Corvette is not as powerful as yours was, but I'm sure it will be a handful... (04 z06 with a procharger :-) )

I would be more than happy to give her anyone a ride along. Actually I would love to have someone ride with me every run. I'm married so I can keep my mind on driving the car and she won;t have to worry about some horn dog hitting on her every time she gets in a car. So she'll be in good hands. Just look for The Red Turtle #1 G-Stock.

Absolutely be more than willing to give some pointers, my pleasure Sir . When I was building up the last Vette I raced (the one I just sold) it was so much fun buy waaaaay overbuilt for Auto-X. I actually never minded as I really just enjoyed driving it. The last mod I made to the car was putting an even bigger adjustable fuel pump in...final dyno was just under 800hp to the wheels. There was never a time when I actually went full throttle. Damn, that was a fun car!! Below is a video of CMP with the CCRSCCA a few years back:     |
