It was great seeing many of my old friends this morning and meeting many new folks as well. I'm sure the bug will bite me and I will field and car this season, however right now my focus will be on photographing the races. Although I shoot will all professional gear, unfortunately due to the moisture, I could not stay out for as long as I wanted to today. I was able to get most of the cars in the first and second run groups then my Auto Focus started misbehaving I'm not an official sponsor of the CCR-SCCA yet, however I still want to give a 25% discount to any of the members from our region. If you decide to purchase an image you can type in SCCARACER at checkout under the discount code area. Here is my website: www.rickbeldenphotography.comHere is the link to the Pics from today: www.rickbeldenphotography.com/AutoRacing/SCCA-Feb-16-2012/27876878_q6TNbj

Great to see you again...I know the bug will bite you...just the way it is with those who never lose the competitive edge. Great shots, you dedication shows by the fact you were willing to bear the brunt of some really nice weather to get them. What are the Lustre and Metallic finishes like? I know Glossy and her brother Matte.

I'm sure I won't be watching too long...I got back home and searched the Cadillac Forum on what are the best Pads to use for Max Stopping power...LOL...It has BEGUN!!! I always seem to have alot of projects going on in my life that are quite stressful...Racing and Photography are my 2 greatest stress relievers. When I'm passionate about something I really try to do it to the best of my ability even my hobbies...I think it is a disease! Metallic is outstanding for images like the ones I took. It has a high gloss finish and when looked at (especially at an angle) the images will appear to be in 3D.

I don't know who you get your stuff printed through, but I've ordered metallic prints from MPix before. Cars look absolutely UNBELIEVABLE on it. Add to that the additional shinyness from the rain and it should look amazing

Awesome pics! I see that you got a nice sequence of me spinning out. It actually looks really cool when you really look at the water coming off the tires and you realize that the car is actually going sideways.
Also, would you care if my girlfriend and I posted some of the pics on Facebook? We were in the two dark blue Subaru impreza 2.5rs coupes.

Thanks for asking, yes you can post the images from my website and even link to the actual album as well. The only thing is obviously the watermark will remain on the image. Anything purchased of course will be in full resolution without the water mark.

Hey Rick! You happen to have any pics of my white S4? I was in the first run group. I don't have any rolling shots and I was looking to see if any good ones were floating around. Thanks!

Rick, you may want to post something on the Buy/Sell/Trade page of the CCR forums. Some of us who shoot subjects other than cars might even have some interest in a local studio that can print on metallic background.

I just looked back through and unfortunately I do not see any. That was kind of a tough event to shoot as I did not have rain gear on me, the snow was messing with focus lock and the moisture on the front of the lens made many shots completely unusable. That being said if I didn't get a clean shot then I delete. I probably did get a few shots of you, however nothing usable I would want to put my name on. I'm going to be out again tomorrow (Sunday) and if the weather holds up plan to get all of the car this time.
