Hey, running at night forces you to look ahead! And yes, we ended up making 13 runs to get 6 timed after hoping we had enough tire to get one competitive run each... Trust me, you don't want me in the timing trailer. ;-) I think you and Dave are why they went and bought a new timing system. Which has been great, minus the Matt Feeny taping a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate box to his helmet, so the lights can pick up the kart. ;D

anybody have a direct link to pre-reg for this event? It's not open yet. SCR is running the event, so registration is up to them.

It's a good enough site that Ill go back again this year. Even of SCR is running timing ;-) As someone that spent 2 heats in the timing van, and at least an hour in there before the event started fixing broken cables, forgive me if I am not amused. Timing problems are not unique to any region. It's infuriating to have a hardware or software problem attributed to competency or quality of staff.

I can tell you that SCR has spent alot of time, money and effort on improving their timing equipment. I expect a well run Black Lake event with few problems.

PLEASE be proactive in printing and filling out the Michelin waiver before you come on site. This will help move the line along faster. I am also working on having extra workers at the front gate for waivers as well. I do have some Michelin releases and they will be available at the gate.

might help ( especially for those that haven't run there before) if you would post up a link to the waivers

Does anyone have a link to the "TRACK SAFETY RULES" that is mentioned in the waiver form?

All of that info will be available when registration opens in the next day or 2. It is basically what has already been said on here. No metal on pavement, one way direction at site...etc. Nothing serious. LilGunny

Except the clause that says the Michelin Man gets to slap you if you show up on site with non-Michelin/BFG tires But yeah, when I pointed out the special rules for the site, I didn't mean for people to freak out about them. Michelin is picky about their site, and after you see it, you'll understand they have every right to be. But there's nothing really major in there to worry about. Just that Michelin Man thing... but it's okay... his hands are soft and he doesn't slap very hard. ;D

Thanks guys. I figured it was just the typical stuff that was already stated. I was just curious to read the actual Michelin lingo. Definitely not that concerned, just curious. My wavier is printed, signed, and ready to go.
