Is street touring handicapped? Or is it a heads up class? Thanks

Not sure I understand the question... Yes, there are rules as for what you can do to the car. Have a specific question?

When I was looking at the rules I can see that there are four or five levels to street touring class, but it's sort of a step below street prepared. Is it structured the same, with a h through a classification or are all ST cars run against each other with no multiplier, regardless of make and model? Or do the cars get PAXed?

Still don't understand the question either. Example? If you have a car that qualifies under the STS rules, you run STS. Same for STS2, STX, or STU. Each car in each event has a listed PAX Time, but the Street Touring classes are not indexed classes if that is what you are asking. Each one of the four classes is separate - like A through H stock or A through F street preapared. STS is a class - just like H Stock is a class. STX is a class by itself, STU, Etc. The only PAX indexed classes are pro and novice. Hope there's an answer in there somewhere.

Greg, Actually, there is one more class that is scored on PAX. That is the Tire class. In that class, for example, if you run Tire H Stock, you car must meet the H Stock (or whatever class) rules, with the exception that you must run tires with a treadwear rating of 140 or higher (street tires - no R comps).
If you were running your Beetle in Tire H Stock, your final time would be figured on your actual time multiplied by the H Stock PAX and compared to the other entries in the Tire Class who would be scored on the PAX multipler for the respective class of each entry.
This is a regional class. To enter, you would chose your class as usual on the entry, then select Tire from the Indexed Class drop-down menu.

That helped! That was what I was asking about, if it was indexed. I think I'll stick in H stock for a few races and see what happens. I'll go home after this race and do the pax math myself to see how I would have done in the tire class and go from there. Thanks a lot everyone! Greg
