Nikon's earliest entry into the mass consumer market using Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiasio to produce a compact and light, 460 grams, automatic SLR camera. Camera was produced from 1979 to 1982. It is in good condition mechanically and cosmetically, very clean inside and out and was serviced about 5 years ago. Includes the Series E lens that was sold with the camera. Will also accept Nikon F bayonet mount AI lenses. Accepts Nikon MD-14 motor drive. Three shutter settings, Auto for aperature priority, M90 for mechanical (no battery needed) at 1/90 sec and B for bulb settig long exposure. Auto shutter speeds are from 1 sec to 1/1000 sec. Film speed from ISO 25 to 1600. 60/40 center weighted metering, battery check button, exposure compensation button (chrome) for +2EV, TTL exposure metering, metal focal plane shutter. Black body.
