I'll be coming down Sunday to do some karting, then help set up the course, and camping out Sunday night.

Now to the BIG question. Is tent camping free?? As in no electrical hookups. We continue to have problems with this matter. I know quite a few people will be camping Sunday.

Glad you moved the start time up an hour this year.
I'll be there if the weather is looking good.

With a 6am registration and first car out at 9am that means an early start for those of us driving in, something like 4am. Not sure at this point your going to see the red vette. Bummer really like running at cmp.

Bummer really like running at cmp. If you're able to you can come down Sunday and camp on sight or stay in one of the hotels down the road. That way you can sleep in a little Monday and can check out some of the Carolina Cup/SAARC racing as well. Double win in my books.

For those of us that attended this event and the Subaru Showdowns in the past few years, the early start time is appreciated. I've been rained out due to afternoon t-storms and pushed back due to timing/etc delays more than I care to mention at CMP in my short stint in autox.

We know this MAY deter some entries, but it's in the best interest for the event. Yes we have been doing near flawless events lately, but things happen. For that reason we want to be sure we have plenty of time to complete all runs. Last year we saw some 220 entries. That is insane. CMP sees somewhat larger start intervals due to worker coverage. The start time is slated as 9am and we hope to hold to it.

We might open registration for some time on Sunday evening for a few hours to those who will be in the area and want to get it out of the way and can sleep in a extra on Monday.
AJ will post up more details later on this week on the finality of this.

Since the CCR race program rents the track Saturday thru Monday and we pay for security thru Sunday night (because of the SOLO on Monday), tent camping is allowed at no extra charge. Power hookup is not paid for by the club and is per the track/consumer. If a driver needs towing/wrecker-extraction services on Monday then that person will be responsible for the service call.

Currently only 54 entrants. Yesterday, the forecast for Memorial Day in Kershaw was 60% chance of rain with thunderstorms. Now, it is down to 30% chance of rain. It's still too early to put much stock in a forecast, especially given that we stood down for thunderstorms four of the seven times I've been at Kershaw.

I can't overstate this so I'm going to make it big and bold.....
PLEASE PRE-REGISTER!!!!!!!!
You don't have to pre-pay, but please, PLEASE at least pre-register. With the schedule bumped up an hour, it will make it much easier on our registration people when they only have to check a box beside your name instead of filling out all the driver/class/car information, and we can get people through with less of a line.

Well, seeing as my car made the last half of the trip back from LJVM on a flatbed, I'm not sure if I'll be making this one. If I can get the alternator situation sorted out by Wednesday I'll pre-register, but until then I can't commit.

I'm hoping mine is back together by this weekend too.... currently the engine is sitting about 2 feet under the car.... Amazing what an ounce of prevention (actually less than an ounce of locktite) would have done (on the CAM bolts) to prevent a very expensive repair.
Crossing fingers it will be there.

On the refreshment front, there is no beer sales on Sunday in the area. If you wish to enjoy a cold barley-pop Sunday evening after the last race car is off track, you need to come prepared.

You actually CAN get it in Camden, as we learned last year.... but Camden is a 1 hour round trip. COME PREPARED!
