Posting now to see if there would be any interest in having our social in Sept and seeing Rush... possibly even on opening night... currently scheduled for US release on Sept 20. For anyone who doesn't know yet, Rush is directed by Ron Howard and about the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda As the date gets closer we can finalize what theatre and start buying up tickets for it, but this is DEFINITELY something we should do as a club of racing geeks  |

Can advance tickets be purchased for a specific showing? Yeah. Once showtimes are set, usually a week or two in advance, you can buy tickets on Fandango. |

Alright... we'll do it on the 27th then  I'd prefer Northlake because it seems like we get a pretty decent turnout of people at our socials in that area. It's playing there at 7:45pm on the 27th. The other option is 8:10pm at the AMC on South Blvd right off I-485. |

I'm seeing Rush now listed at 7:20pm at AMC Northlake on the 27th (not 7:45 as referenced above), so if you are planning to be there (I'm still in negotiations) then note the updated show time.

For anyone that doesn't know by now. There will actually be two socials going on. South Siders and North Siders, aka the Sharks and the Jets (and yea, I just went there)...
There will be a group of us at Stone Crest at 7:20, same day, also. Off the top of my head; AJ, Chris, Frodo, Will, and me will be there.
