I think we should install sensors in all the cones to be able to tell when one moves or falls over! That way we can look back and see which one it was hehe. Really wish I knew what cone I hit on my 2nd run. It felt like a clean run to me, my co driver in the passenger seat didn't even know I hit one You might not have hit a cone. If you spray water and the water knocks over the cone +1. I'm pretty sure I didn't hit a cone on my last run, but my wake may have done the dirty work.

The water spray knocking over a cone is highly possible. There was a wall cones near the back of the lot right after the first right-hand sweeper where a lot of water was pooling up. During the height of the rain, water was spraying up above the tops of everyone's car when they went thru that section. From my vantage point, it was hard to tell for certain whether a car knocked down the cones or whether it was the water, but it wouldn't surprise me if the water was the culprit. The amount of water splashing up in that section was comical to watch.

I don't remember him hitting a cone either. Then again I don't remember hitting 3 cones on my first run - I know I hit one because I brought it back to grid with me . He's just mad because it was a good run and he would have beaten me... I'm going to start sticking my hand out and smacking a cone on future co-drives.

Glad the weather broke enough to be able to have the runs. Unfortunately I had to leave before taking any of mine. Personal matters put a strain on my free time lately.

Crazy event. I'm glad the lightening and torrential downpour subsided enough to have second run group get some hydroplane runs in. Cyndi you made me take a few steps back on your second or third run when you ended up on the wrong side of a gate, lol. I thought to myself, "I heard her yelling at Steven before the event... she may be aiming to hit me to work out some anger... RUN!" Haha!
Thanks again Eddie for letting me drive your Evo. Someone told me before the event, "Don't let it make you feel bad about your car." and they may have been right. It was awesome.
Maybe next month we'll actually get a fully dry night event in?!?

I apologize for going way off course during my first rain run. I couldn't see the cones in the corner near the light. It would be better if we could direct the lights to shine down course rather towards the driver. I didn't have as much trouble seeing in the dark for the rest of the course. I was concerned with running over someone or something in that first corner so I didn't risk any more runs.

It's easier for a person to jump out of the way than it is to say swerve a high speed vehicle or flip one over b/c the driver rolled it trying to avoid a worker. Besides if the worker is paying attention like they are supposed to they'll already see you coming haha

Season points worked for me. Thanks to everyone who made this series possible, it was a great opportunity to get some extra seat time and try some new things.

Had to clear my cache, I sees it now. Yes this series was great! I learned a lot about driving and about car setup. I also learned a Miata floats.

I should drop by here more often. I don't believe the above stock class season result is correct. Seems to me you should drop the event I missed - not the one I finished 2nd in. Cheers, Jack Mc
