With the new site, somethings seem to have disapeared. What are the rules for getting a class trophy (year end) and what are the tire class rules specificly. Like what classes are eligable. Excuse my spelling. Greg

Greg - any class is eligible for tire class competition. If I wanted to run the Fiesta in tire class I could - I would just need a set of street tires with a tread rating of 140 or higher on the car. Then you are PAX'ed against everyone else in Tire class. That was what made it fun with the Saab the last few years - we got to compete against a wide range of cars, even a ASP Corvette once!
The class trophies were given at the Gala that is held in January (or thereabouts of each year) for your final standings in your class.

Thanks for the briefing on the tire class, but to qualify for a trophy at years end, don't you have to be at a minimum of 5 events in the same class? It was the minor club rules that I couln't find anymore. Thanks, greg

You have to be a CCR / SCCA member... I know that much.

Greg, I believe it was stated you have to run in more than half of the eligible events - or half + 1.
In a nine event season, that would be five. For 10 events, 6, etc.

It sure is nice to not have to change tires in the morning of an event. Just make sure you get some guud street tires to lessen the initial pain of not having R comps. The pain goes away quickly.

When I joined the scca and specified ccr region, that made me a member of ccr-scca, right?

Yes, you are a CCR member, but you get points in CCR if you are an SCCA member - CCR or otherwise.
Same with SCR, even though you are a CCR member, you have points in SCR as well.
For example, Don Bruner, Jr., who is an SCR member, was the DStock points champ last year in CCR.
In fact, I believe it may be written (somewhere) that you get points if you are a member of one of the NCAC clubs, but I'm not sure about that one.
