I'd like some difinitive club rules on year end trophys. Out of the nine events, you need to be there for at least 5. If you're there for all nine, is it a case of taking the best five? Or if you make all nine, all those points add up? Our individual club rules are missing form the new site. Thanks, Greg

Somebody can correct me if wrong but....
All events count toward points. Period.
No events are dropped. Period.
You must be an SCCA member to be eligible for a year-end trophy. (not neccessarily a CCR member).
You must compete in at least half the eligible events. (that means at least 5 in a 9 event season).
Points are awarded on the original Formula One points system: 9 - 6 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 for top six positions in class. (this may have been modified to include 1 point for positions beyond sixth place - not sure about this)
That's how I remember it anyway. It's pretty simple - if you want to compete for a championship - be here.

In SCR.....slightly different.
General Rules
1. All 2006 SCCA Solo Events rules apply.
2. Drivers competing for SCAC points must carry an SCR-SCCA sticker/magnet and a sponsor sticker/magnet (if applicable) visible on their car.
3. In the Event of a points tie, number of wins is used as a tiebreaker. If the competitors have the same number of wins, then number of 2nd place finishes will be counted, and so on. If there is still a tie the person who got the best finish first is the winner.
4. Car classification will be based on 2006 SCCA Solo Events Rules.
5. Drivers must be SCCA members to be eligible for points.
6. Each driver's two worst points events will be dropped from their points total. This can include any events the driver did not attend.
7. The 2006 PAX/RTP index will be used to determine a trophy for a class made up of all single cars. Cars without other competitors in their class will still receive 1st place SCAC points.
8. Points will be assigned as follows: 1st - 10, 2nd - 8, 3rd - 6, 4th - 5, 5th - 4, 6th - 3, 7th - 2, 8th - 1.

Sheeshhh .. you guyz is tuff... dang.. the points sistum is easier to figger out than wimmen. heck..that Nascar points systems is easier to figger out than wimmen...175 fer a win, unless you lead most laps or lead a lap or know a member of the France family or know someone who knows a member of the France family...subract 5 pts fer each position less than first for the first 10 (or something) and then 4pts for the next 8, blah blah....
