Time Trial car SOLD. Thanks for interest!
Formula Jedi - This is a car made in England specifically for hillclimb to compete with Mallocks. This car was raced in England in hillclimbs and brought to the US in hopes of starting a road race series here. There are to my knowledge 4 in US... 1 is disassembled, 1 in an A Mod car in the making and the other runs PHA Hillclimb events. This car is fully legal and logbooked for SCCA Time Trial and could be set up run road races in Formula S class (would need the full fire extinguisher system installed. Have one with car but needs to be charged.) The car comes from factory with a Suzuki 650 GSXR engine... the car presently has a fresh built Honda 900 CBR Fireblade engine with race cams. It has transponder, programmable shift light, programmable rev limiter with power commander, light battery 1 year old, transmision rebuilt 4 months ago, new clutch with 3 events on it, all brakes were completely rebuilt with new pads 2 events ago, jet ski stand (can put car on stand for working or rolling around in shop), A set of Hoosiers on wheels with half life left, 2 Hoosiers on rear wheels never used, a set of rain tires on wheels and some spare wheels ( on the spare wheels - some are bent but can be repaired, some are good.)Car has legal belts and annual tech. One of the nice things is car starts easily and is dependable. It is VERY fast and could make a great A Mod for solo with a light driver. The Jedi fits me at 6'4" and 265 but you can outfit it to fit a smaller driver easily. Car comes with spare plugs, notebook on car with info. Parts are available from England as car is still being built and raced in England. Car weighs 750 pounds... past owner was clocked at drag strip 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds and top speed he posted was 140. That was in full race 650 engine and a much lighter driver than me. The current engine was built to be dependable and strong. It is very quick and requires good reflexes. The aero is incredible and when you step down on it on a track or hillclimb, you can feel the car lower and stick to the ground. Has removable top wing for downforce on hillclimb but must compete in Specials class instead of Formula S class. Used Jedis are selling for $12K to $23K in UK. Car with spares $8250 but will consider offers. You are welcome to speak with motorcycle shop in Greenville that has done all of the engine/tranny work on this car or Steve Hampton at Chap Racing who modified the cage. This car needs nothing... turn key, ready to go. Contact Ted at editor@thesoutherndriver.com
