We keep hearing this , but we dont believe it !!! Great Job Guys !! When you say "WE" , do you include the imported ringers from other clubs Says the guy that even with his imported SCR ringers couldn't win. If you really wanted to make the imported ringer thing both more fair and more entertaining: 1. All the non-North Carolina drivers register with their region/club of record. 2. Each non-North Carolina region/club gets put into a hat. (Atlanta, SCR, Tidewater, etc.) 3. The NC region/club with the least entrants picks first. They get all of the drivers from the region that they pick. Pick in order by number of entrants until all of the other clubs are gone. 4. The person picking from the hat becomes the most loved or the most hated in their region/club

Hodges mentioned that the SOLO chairs from each club need to get together at the beginning of next year and see if we can't dig up the old rules and iron them out a bit. Take care of what happens if a club can't get the requisite 15 drivers, or assignment of people who are members of clubs outside the 5 in competition, or whatever other questions/concerns there are.

Yeah we used some SCR talent, but the 2 we used did compete in many CCR events this year. You can't say that for the Club Cup winners.

You know I can hear you right? ;-)
Seriously, if someone has been an active member of a club for several years there ought to be some kind of legacy clause.

Actually you can ,,The Marx's run nearly every one of our Danville Events and have run for Triad in at least 3 other NCAC's since they usually do the TnT at Danville and thus become members . Jeff Schmidt and his girls (they couldnt make the NCAC) have run at least 5 different events with Triad plus 2 of our Evo Schools over the last 2 years (not having Danville hurt their attendance this year). Anyone else in question ? And as For Tom Deady , we gave him a lifetime membership !!

Thanks for the vids Mike! You and Steven drove really well and I definitely picked up a couple things watching your videos that I should've done better. I was a bit nervous on Saturday and my last run was ruined by Kurt's headlight/foglight popping out and dancing all over the hood! I drove much better on Sunday and actually had a faster raw time on day 2. I wonder how many folks went faster on day 2?

Thanks again for the great event and courses!
Edit to add: The calculated overlay gear indicator is not necessarily correct!!! Both courses were all second gear after the initial upshift except for 3rd at the finish on Sunday.
Video from a Saturday fun run which matched my best Saturday clean run (no video from the official runs) of 55.9
Video from the best Sunday run of 56.8

Great video Dick. I only see one problem with your runs, they were for Tarheel and not CCR Sorry, I don't live in CCR's area (apparently that doesn't matter ). Tarheel or NCR seem to be my "geographical" options. Plus I've been a member of both THSCC and NCR since moving to NC in 1986. Dick Lives in Wake County.

I don't know how you kart guys can think, steer, and shift so fast. Never mind the impact from all the bumps. Sure makes my CM car look like a limo.

Not only is it steering, throttle, brake, shifting but flexing the chassis through the wheel and heal stays. On Sunday I was flexing the chassis to get around the slalom at the finish.
My mind goes into a different state once I leave the line, it feels like it takes over 2 min to get a run. To me my thinking time normal during the run, but when I remember what I am thinking about during the run and when I watch the video I realize that I made that complete taught in much less time than I realize.
For example during the run where the hub comes off, The moment the hub comes off, I say to myself "How did I get a cone stuck under the seat; Grab the clutch; Ohh why am I seeing sparks? the side that is down is on the aluminum mount; ohh look that is my wheel; I should stop the kart now...." watching the wheel "Score, the wheel took down that cone; Haha I got that on camera"
This is why I love karts, it almost feels like I am in a dream.
