The greed of ALMS and VIR

Need to vent. Took a "mental" day from work to go watch ALMS practice. No 1day tickets. Only 4day. Who's the marketing genius behind this? Now if I wasn't going to ZMax this weekend I would have bought a 4day ticket. But I'd rather run my own car thank you.

So rather than sell 1day tickets to people they'd rather turn them away. I did look hard at both VIR and ALMS and nothing was said about no 1day ticket sales. Always had them before for other events. Rolex, AMA, Vintage and such. The greed is there. Makes me leery of the new combined series.

Just pisses me off. Not to mention I drove 85mi. one way.

It appears that they were cutting corners on security and were paranoid that spectators would over stay their admission.

That was the stock answer I got from both the VIR Pres. and Marketing Dir. People would come in Thursday and stay. Oh well.
