Is there a definitive number of events or length of time an entrant is allowed to run in Novice Class?
I'm assuming this is left to the individual regions since I can't find anything in the Rulebook. I do know ATL only allows 2 entrys...total...in NC. I think SCR allows a full season, but I may be wrong.
The reason I ask is I just looked at the CCR points. Both top 2 drivers have now each won NC twice yet still competed as novices this past event. I was thinking I read somewhere that after winning NC, a driver was no longer eligible for NC and was to "graduate" to their respective class.
Sorta seems if you've figured this thing out well enough to win NC, especially twice, it's kinda time you moved on to stiffer competition.
And no, had this drivers not placed 1st and 3rd I STILL would not have won...or placed third...or even in the top 5.
Thanks,

We open Novice Class typically to competitors in their 1st season, as does SCR.
One of the big differences in the two regions is that SCR will not allow R Compound or Racing Tires in the Novice Class.
There is no provision for Novices on a National Level and the managment of Novice Classes is purely at the descetion of the individual regions. Some have year-long classes, and other have conditional limits on the number of events.
One of the big advantages to competing in Novice Class (both CCR and SCR) is that it allows a competitor to recieve help from expericed drivers during the competition (ride-alongs, etc.), and in both region this gives a Novice a full year of the advantage.
Hope this helps.
