where can i race?

i just bought a 93 nissan 240sx and i want to race her on road races. im only 19 so i know im not old enough to race on road tracks. so right now i plan to do autocrosses untill im 21.

now, id like to mod the car a good bit just to make it handle better to me. i just got done reading the IT rule book because ive seen 240s racing in IT-B and IT-S but they said i cant really mod the car at all if i plan to race in IT.

what class could i run her in if i was planing to change the suspinsion, intake, exost and other things like that?

First, welcome to the world of motorsports! You'll have a blast!!

Our 24-hour autocross is coming up in a few weeks, check out the threads in the Autocross section. You'll get a lot of seat time there.

Now, you need to go to SCCA's web site and download the rulebook. That will help answer your questions.
Go here - www.scca.org/ - and click on SOLO on the left side. Next click on Cars and rules. You can get the rule books there.

If your car is STOCK (no mods, stock size wheels, stock intake, stock suspension) you'll be in G-Stock. If you've change anything (other than the air filter and front sway bar) you're in STS on street tires. If you do a SR20DET sway, you're in Street Mod.

You're over 18, so you can do PDX's. Again, see the thread in the Autocross section.

Come out to the 24 and we'll all be glad to help you get your feet wet!!

I third whatever Lagooneemeeotta sez...but don't race on the streets...the Po-leese may not take kindly...i gotta hide the fiesta when I take it out for tuning runs....blast down the road..head back and hide...(sorta like the Dawg diving under a couch)....
