I know we've already been talking about possible changes to event formats/classes and that most of us have signed up to help with various club roles, but as the first event approaches, I'm curious to see what cars folks will be driving and in which class? Anyone going to make the move to Pro for the first time? Did you buy a new car? Ad mods to your existing car? Score a sweet co-drive with a friend? Post up your plans for 2014 and let's see who will be running where!
I guess I'll start and reveal that after a super fun 2013 season in Kurt Becker's Lotus Elise, I'm going to add a few suspension mods to my FR-S and run in open STX. Anyone going to join me?

I'll be making the jump to open SM. The car is having a lot done in the off season, and my fueling issues will be a thing of the past. By the time I'm done, there will literally not be a single fueling component that hasn't been replaced, and a surge tank will get rid of those pesky cavitation issues. Also rebuilding the diff, adding gauges, new engine mounts, adding camber and toe adjustments to the rear, subframe reinforcements, new wheel bearings, rebuilt calipers, hoosiers... and I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff too. Not sure how many events I'll be able to make it to, but the car will be ready!

Why would I change to something else? But I will gladly take any runs in other people cars, just ask.

Open STX for me. New suspension on the R32. Won't help but it seemed like a fun thing to do.
Clyde, 60lbs.? Curious how you did it.

I just replaced all my fueling stuff too, with the exception of the lines. Glad to see you join the dark side on the Hoosiers. I look forward to some SM/SSM competition! Like Matt, I was tired of dealing with fueling issues so I revamped my fuel setup. I'm upping the boost once again to max out my current blower at a modest 15 PSI. Also switching to a larger rear tire (275). Biggest change will be a new suspension setup, which will undoubtedly be worse on course, so we'll have to see how that goes. And I'll likely put the rear sway bar back on to combat the rear tire bias from the larger 275's in the back. Other than that, its the same ol' Wheezy. Anyone else running in SSM this year?

Focus ST in G street. The only changes for the car will be a second set of wheels and tires. An EVO class for the driver and I'm sure the car will appreciate that.

JCW'd R53 Cooper S with a new intake, rear sway bar, and a set of better tires. STX
What are the rules for running novice? I have run 3 events in the past two years but plan on running more this year.

To start a GP intercooler Then some R comps that showed up at my house, i think they will cause in addiction that will lead to me spending lots of money Intake Manifold Headers 550 cc Injectors and got a new mynes tune mynes is tuned, is yours?

I got a little tired of an up hill ASP PAX battle so I'm back to open ASP this year ! A few tweeks and upgrades to the Sky should make it a little quicker and easier to drive ! Biggest change for 2014 will be the addition of a fulltime Co Driver ( turns out that the NEW Wife Nancy is a darn good driver). Nancy is set up for a couple Evolution schools and I'm set for some National Events ! Biggest change will be with Nancy aboard and excited about Driving we will make all the CCR events and alot of local (SCR ETR TSCC Atlanta ) events. I hope to be back to my 2011 / 2012 30 event type season.

Although, I'm pretty certain Gregg will find a way to beat us down even if a Ford Focus ST isn't the ideal car for STX. Keep the replies coming!

Randy I need some competition in open SSM now that Michael is back in a wrong-wheel-drive car. Your Sky qualifies for SSM, right?

Well no one runs opens STF all that much so more than likely I'll stay in Intermediate unless I'm moved up to Pro to play with the big boys.
*EDIT* Just saw in the other thread that Intermediate will no longer be. Guess I'll try my luck in Pro. No competition in open STF and what better way to get better than to get waxed by the best.

Open STX for me. New suspension on the R32. Won't help but it seemed like a fun thing to do. Clyde, 60lbs.? Curious how you did it. All pounds approximate - never could get hung up on details. Took off the wing for 17 lbs. Putting in a Braille 6 lb battery in front. Will run in parallel with the Odyssey (41 lbs) in the back for daily drive and remove the Odyssey for events. Took out one of two battery cables I ran to the back battery. Ground now to frame rail. (3 lbs). Went to 17 mm stock front sway bar instead of the 25 mm Perrin. (3 lbs) Plus, I've taken 25 lbs from around my plump mid section and changed one of my shoulder joints from bone to titanium. Looks like STX is going to rock this year.

I'm pretty sure the Sky will bump up to SSM and if it did I could add a little areo that would help. But I still can't get past Greg besting me by such a small margin at the NCAC last year I ran Intermediate all year and didn't really put a lot of effort into Autox due to getting all Wife'ed up and the only time I ran open ASP I got a little spanked lol ! Maybe we could talk Greg into bumping up also

I'll be driving my Subaru in Pro and prompting other SM competitors to do the same.
Or anyone else's car that I think looks fun and likes donuts.

Sorry chief, you won't manage to recruit me to run pro in my second full season. I've fought enough uphill battles in novice and tire, I'd like to have a relatively flat PAX battle for once if I can. I don't think I'll make it to enough events for it to really matter, but I will be in open SM when I'm there. However, my car does like donuts...
