I was reading the SCCA rule book but I can't find anything that says you can or can not have strut tower braces in the C Street class. Can anyone clear up what mods would disqualify my frs from C street? It is bone stock right now but in addition to better tires I was thinking about some other mods. I am still learning the class structure which is a little confusing coming from motocross where it was pretty much what size of the bike and the skill level of the rider that determined the class. Thanks for any help!

The strut tower is legal if it is stock on the car.

Mods are very limited in street. You can't add a strut brace, you can't change your intake, and you can't change your ride height. The major mods you are allowed are: 1) Update/remove/add 1 sway bar. 2) You can change shocks to adjustable shocks, but not coilovers and you can't change springs 3) You can change the exhaust starting from the cat. 4) Alignment 5) New this year you can change wheel diameter +- 1 inch but you can't change width. So maybe look at lighter wheels in a stock size.
Don't take my word for it though check the rule book. It's easy to change something small and end up in street mod.
I'd start with good tires and a good alignment and go from there.

So if I were to get new wheels that were an inch wider than stock it would put my car into CSP right?

An inch wider than stock (8") would put you in STX. You could go as wide as 9" and still remain in STX. Anything over 9" would put you in CSP.
