I am looking for some advice on how to rid my new helmet of the glue smell. I have it sitting out open trying to air it out, but any advice from those with tips would be much appreciated.

Put it on and go sit in a sauna. Then it will get the typical sweat smell much faster, lol.

I think I could stand that more than the glue factory it smells like now.

Hello James,
Over the years, I have dealt with the new helmet smell as well as the subsequent sweat odor by inserting into my helmets between events, a sachet of dried fragrance leaves obtained from local gift shops. The sachet is about the size of a billiard ball wrapped in a porous material like thin socks of some type. That very inexpensive set-up has proven to be very effective and usually lasts two or three seasons even in my road racing helmets that get REALLY sweaty.

Awesome Mike, thanks for the tip. I did not think of that but maybe some cedar chips could help.
