Up for sale is a 1992 Acura Integra RS. I bought this car from a friend as he wanted it out of his yard. The car was a DD up till a year ago when the pcv hose that goes threw the intake fell apart. On top of that the valve seals in the head were leaking enough oil to seal cover the plugs in oil. I have known the car for the last 6 years. Anyways here is the good and bads.
Goods:
- Clean body southern car which has lived all its life in the south. Has been repainted sometime in its life. But zero rust
- Decent interior in the car. Drivers seat has a tear. But otherwise in ok shape.
- 223k B18a1. Now with a fresh head with new valve seals, shave, valve adjustment, and cam seals.
- Fresh Dayco timing belt kit including a new water pump and tensioner.
- Fresh Crankshaft seal and fresh oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket.
- New intake manifold gasket and, exhaust gasket.
- New Falkin 912 tires. Well 2 years old but still loads of tread left. Think they went on around 220-221k.
- Fresh oil Change and fresh coolant.
- New radiator and thermostat.
- Transfluid was done about 20k ago.
- Its an RS so manual windows and no sunroof, no cruise etc. Does have power steering
- Fires right up. Even after sitting a year, 2 hits on the starter and its running.
- Brand new Battery.
Bads :
- Autotragic (or a good if your into that)
- Passenger side tie rod will be needing to be replaced. Its loose under the car but no play in the wheel with it in the air.
- Missing the timing cover on the back side. It was rubbing the cams and getting close to the timing belt. Tired to get one local but no pick a parts had one. You can have the old one but its pretty messed up.
- Power Steering may have a light leak. Its sprayed some in the past don't know if it still is. He used some sealing stuff and it may have worked.
- Torn Drivers seat, and one back panel has a light tear.
- No radio. Old owner pulled the speakers and the radio. He had just installed in then the car went down. Pulled for another car.
- Needs motor mounts. ALL of them are torn. If you want I can window weld them back together. A new set is $125 to the door off ebay.
- Front brake pads are getting low. Maybe 25% left.
- Clear coat on the paint is fading on the one side.
- A/C works but needs a charge every summer. Has been converted to 134a
Mods:
- Gen 1 ebay header. Its old. Still in ok shape. Has some light rust.
- Ebay intake with a cone filter.
- Rusell stainless steel brake lines.
- DA Integra GSR spoiler
- Full Set of ebay strut bars
Pretty much I bought the car to maybe turn into lemons or a rallycross car. Team does not want a honda for lemons and I decided that I want something rwd/awd for a rallycross car. Looking to get $1600 for the car. Not looking for trades unless its a awd 5spd subaru of some sort May take others. Really just want cash so I can pay my other car off. Can call or text 864-908-8587.
