I'm trying to register with SC-SCCA to play around at Michelin. In the online registry it ask me for my class and I don't want to put in the wrong thing. Theres like 30 options.
I have a 1986 Toyota Mr2 with a 4AGE motor in it. Adjustable Koni Shocks and 15x7 wheels (but I can slip my OE's back on)
Everything else is stock
Also do they provide loaner helmets for n00bs?

We do have loaner helmets for everyone to use.
Is that engine stock for the car? If not I think you would be XP.

First timer btw. It's an original for these cars but it's not original to this specific car. Don't know if that makes a difference.

If it's on the same "line" the engine swap and other mods would land it in "SP". Example my 1990 Miata has a 1999 Miata engine in it. The "line" for miatas is 1990-2005. That means I can swap parts from any of those years.

4AGE is oem engine for 1st gen Mr2, right? Did you just swap in another mr2 engine? Did you change from 16v to 20v? Unclear what is different there.

As Mike said, if the engine is from the same line of cars, that would be street prepared. And in your case, you would be CSP. And since you are new, you would run in Novice Class, so your car should read on its sides NCSP. Wheels and Koni shocks are also street prepared legal.

If you replaced the engine with the same engine, that is fine for either STS or E-Street.
Now the question is, what is the stock wheel size? The Koni's are good for both STS and E-Street. If the 15x7 wheels are wider than stock, you are an STS car.

OE is a 185/60r14 on a 14x6 or 6.5. And now I have those 15x7 with 205/50r15. Considering I'm still novice regardless would it be better or make a difference for me to bolt on my OE wheels?
Also these letters are jumbling together. STS. Street touring. .. Something?

Your focus should be on figuring out what the cones mean, where you are suppose to drive to and not focus on being competitive. I would just keep the 15x7's on and run Novice Street Touring Sport.
