Sweet course. I feel like this is a mirror version of one that was run at the beginning of the season.

I'm sorry, but driving in the rain is fun. I can see flaking out if it is raining and 40 degrees, but an 80 degree rain is nice.
Rain will not keep me away from Bicycle Repairman!

And its only a 60% chance of scattered showers ,,not 60% that it will rain for 24 hours straight . Looks like maybe 2 passing 20 minute showers between 9am and 4pm. I love driving in that kind of rain.

I would agree … I even enjoy driving in the rain … I usually feel like I have a slight advantage (in class) in the rain … but I really don't like working in the rain …. I've missed so many events this yr. only been to 3 and one of those didn't count … and can't make it to any of the others for the rest of season …. Anthony, the hour by hour (on weather.com) shows it bouncing back and forth between 70% at 8am then 50%… 40% … then 50% as of this morning it was showing 90% for the entire day … it's jumped back and forth between 90% and 60% and everything in between all week … I'll make the decision tomorrow morning about 5am … if high % … see ya next yr … if 50-60% I'll probably be there

screw it … weather.com says anywhere from 40% to 70% through out the day … really don't feel like driving 5 hrs in the rain ( it's pouring here now ) … hope the weather folk are wrong for y'alls sake … I'm going back to bed

Ya Hoo ! yep … kept checking in on weather.com… and saw that the % predictions kept changing (and being pushed on into the evening) … so yeah .. even though it was pouring here, and the defroster is crappy in the CRX … looks like i should have gotten my last taste of Z-Max for the yr

Thanks for another great event CCR! I was expecting the worse with the rain, but was thankful it held off until the very end. For all those that stayed home, you were definitely missed, but I understand that driving a couple hours to an event that might be pouring isn't a lot of fun.
Additionally, I wanted to thank Gregg H. for letting me borrow his water sprayer and for inspiring me to take my re-run earlier than I was planning. After I cooled my tires down with Gregg's sprayer, I took my re-run and ended up getting my best time just a few seconds before the rain started. Something tells me I better not count on Gregg letting me use his sprayer next time...ha, ha!
Also, thanks to Mike K. for the tire pressure advice (going lower felt better!) and to Mike L. for help on my racing lines. Here is a video of my best run (71.441) using the advice Mike gave me:

Since all the cool kids are posting video, here's mine from Saturday's event. Some pretty ugly driving/lines, but with the rear camber slipped on one side I was pretty much using the center diff and driving more conservatively to bandaid the problem. Still good enough for 66.1, but there's a TON of time left in the car. Will fix and continue as always.

I'm not sure how cool a middle-aged father of 4 kids can be, but I appreciate you lumping me in the "cool kids" category! In all seriousness, nice run Tim and thanks for sharing your video. I always enjoy seeing how other folks with different cars handle the course. I know you said your rear camber was off, but were you on your newer Hoosiers or still using your old Hoosiers?

These were the newer Hoosiers from Dixie. 26 runs going into the event. They'll also be the set I use for the NCAC with likely the 30 runs they have now.

Watching those videos has been enlightening. They give me some ideas of things to try out and things to improve on at the 24. And for posterity, here is my fastest run of the day.
