N-CAC Update

I will be posting updated info to this thread over the next week !

The North Carolina Autocross Championship is first and foremost a series whose intent is to bring the Clubs of the Carolina's together and promote inter-club participation . As such I am putting together a couple things to help steer participants to the other Clubs and help introduce them to the larger events . First , I have asked each of the NCAC Clubs as well as Blue Ridge Region , SCR and any other Club wanting to participate , to donate a number of free event entries and in some cases full season passes . We will raffle these off Sunday . The only catch is , members of the Club donating the Free entry are not eligible to accept it , it must go to someone outside that Club . Ex An NCR member cant accept an NCR free entry , but could accept one from any of the other Clubs . The hope is it will increase inter-club participation by introducing new participants to the surrounding Clubs.
Next , I have enlisted the help of a few of our Pro Drivers to give Instructional Course walks both mornings . There will be a Novice walk through as well as an Intermediate Level walk through . The Novice is a normal Novice walk through . The Intermediate will be slanted toward those that have been autocrossing for a season or two but have not ventured out to any National Level events . Instructors will hopefully help you get the most out of the Championship weekend and get you ready to take on some of the larger events in our area .

Dont forget about the Club Cup !! We need as many participants representing each Club as possible !! It's much more fun when all the Clubs are on more equal footing !!

N-CAC Saturday Night Pizza Party!!!

Come on out and join us for free pizza, pop, and other beverages at the N-CAC Saturday night party! After competition runs have ended (roughly 5:30) we will have a few spots at the camp ground next to ZMax rented out for you to relax and enjoy talking about “that cone”. Commiserate with your competitors, meet new people, or lord it over those you've beaten on day 1, we don’t care as long as you’re there! Bring a chair, a kozzie, and any beverage you feel like sharing to the party!

Actual lot number is being worked out with the camp ground and more details will be sent out as we get closer. However, we will be using Tim’s Dirty WhiteTrailer as a base of operations for the party so even if we flub up and don’t send you anything else you’ll be able to find us with ease.

The North Carolina Autocross Championships is only 1 week away and we are getting very excited . We are looking forward to an Amazing weekend with Awesome People ! With a little Autocross thrown in ! I thought I would post up a tentative time line for the weekend so everyone knew when to be where .

Friday
2-6pm Course setup and trailer drop off at Zmax
6-8pm Registration and Roving tech at the Holiday Inn Express

Saturday.
6:30am Gates Open
7:00am Course opens for walking.
730-9:00 Tech and Registration Open
8:30 Instructional Novice and Intermediate Course Walks
9:15 Drivers meeting
9:30 First car off
9:30-5:00 Competition
5:30- ? Pizza Social just outside Zmax gates.
6:00 Gates Close

Sunday

9:00am Gates Open
10:00-11:00 Tech and Registration are open
10:30 Instructional Novice and Intermediate Course Walks
11:30 Drivers Meeting
12:00 First car off
12:00-4:00 Competition
4:15 Raffle and Trophies .
6:00 Gates Close

The Plan for Saturday is 4 runs and time permitting possible fun runs .Sunday we plan for 3 runs due to ZMax's late start times .
It will be very important both days but especially on Sunday that everyone is on time for your work assignment and hustles to reset cones . If things run smoothly we will all be able to get on our way home at a decent time and we know some have a 5+ hour drive home so we would really like to get them on their way as soon as possible . We appreciate all of your help and cooperation during the weekend.

NCAC Saturday Night Party Update!!!

We have secured two spots in the camp ground next to ZMax for our Saturday night party. Once competition runs are over, head out the normal ZMax exit and take a left, then another immediate left into the camp ground. Head back to spot 26 to find your friends, free pizza (Generously provided by Triad) ,and other assorted beverages (provided by CCR, NCR, Tarheel Highlands and SCR) located at Tim’s Dirty Trailer! Parking is available by the bath house if we run out of spots next to the camp site.
