From David Dodson - With the help of eight volunteers, we completed the clearing of the two scenic Lake Fontana overlooks on highway 28. Many thanks to my fellow mountain goats, Hoot Gibbs, Dave Hagan, Cynthia Post, Dick Evans, Kim Hainge, Jim Kriner, and James Smith for all of their help. Next time you are driving to Fontana, stop and take a peek.
Our next target will be the Maple Springs overlooks, probably the week of December 8th. Stay tuned for date and times."
Hillclimbers.... looks like we will have some spectacular views on our Dragon Hillclimb road... just remember to keep your eyes on the road!!! There are some really great scenic views on Maple Springs Rd. that are blocked by trees... opening them will add to the scenic beauty! This is awesome news... and may be the beginning of improvements in other "areas" on that road! We will keep you posted!
