When will the Snell Foundation come out with new helmet standards and will SCCA hillclimbing require helmets meeting this?

I have heard the Snell 2015 standard will be available in October 2015.

But will this new standard be required for hillclimbs and when? I'd hate to buy a SA-10 now and never get to use it and find the new spec costs way more.

Since the new Snell specs will not come out until October 2015 and helmet availability will be later than that, the change in helmet requirements (adding SA-15 and dropping SA-05) for Time Trials and Road Race will not start until 2016.

Meaning that you can compete with a SA-05 Snell rated helmet until the end of the 2015 season.
