Hey, I raced a bit last year but never saw this forum. I was in a silver 350z, that I managed to spin a couple times. Now I have a 2009 Silver WRX STi. I was hoping to get some questions answered in this thread if you can help me out. My STi has stock wheels and crappy touring tires, Accessport, downpipe, air intake, and full exhaust. Im not sure what class I would fall into, BS or STU? Also, the actual website as of yesterday does not have an updated schedule, just FYI, or I did not look hard enough.

Well, you're definitely not in BS, the downpipe, intake, and full exhaust aren't class legal (only cat-back is allowed for exhaust).
The full schedules are available in the respective sections of this forum (Solo - AutoX, Time Trials, Road Race, etc.).
That said, welcome!

Do you still have some form of catalytic converter installed? And, is your boost level changed at all from stock?
I know for STU you have to have a cat installed within 6 inches of the original cat, high flow cat's are allowed. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but more boost pushes you out of STU right?

More boost kicks him out of STU were my thoughts, too. SM, I think?

Still has one cat, out of 3. And it has higher boost set at 19 psi. Is this gonna knock me down to an unbeatable class bc I can't get new tires befor the 28th.

I think you might be okay in a street prepared class. Go read the scca 2015 rulebook section on street prepared modifications. Heads up that street prepared cars can run slicks though. You might want to consider running in the street tire class.

Yeah and I can switch back to a normal boost map. Bc I do not have tires for street prepared.

We added a new class for 2015 - STM - Street Touring Modified. It only has one rule, 200tw tires, so anyone that doesn't want to run race tires can compete and not start changing any mods they already have.

Thanks guys. STM sounds good. Btw I have always loved that S2000 of yours. Real beauty.
