Is there a way or place that I can do some skid-pad testing? Even though I'm on 340tw street tires, I would like to get the most out of them and experiment with different setups. I know Michelin has one but is that available to us when we go there?

We will not be able to do a skid pad at any of our autocross events. The skid pad at Michelin is where we set up the course, and it would take up too much room that is needed for the course. When we do our Novice / Intermediate School at Metrolina Expo on May 30-31, we may be able to set up a skid pad as one of the teaching elements.

Carolina Motorsports Park rents out their skid pad on certain days. You can call them to check availability and pricing and they can also give you information on any clubs that rent the skid pad regularly. You can then check in with those clubs to see if you can join in on their rental day. I've seen several clubs have a few instructors available on skid pad days to help you along if you've never experienced a skid pad before.

Thanks for the input. I contacted CMP and they indicated the kart track/skidpad is booked up for a couple of months for karting.
