that's too bad … really a sad day when 80+ members of a club as large as CCR won't travel for an autocross at a site as great as BL … I guess too many are spoiled by having Z-Max right there … what a shame

Definitely sorry to see this and sorry to have been one of the CCR "regulars" that couldn't come and contributed to the cancellation. This would've been the first CCR event I've missed in over 2 years (including Metrolina night events) and the thought of missing out on the fun was killing me. Even still I would've preferred that the event could go on without me, so I really hate it that we didn't get the minimum attendance.
I look forward to seeing everyone at ZMAX on 5/9, so let's get registered early for that one and support the hard work our club leaders put in to give us fun events!

Well...I guess I'll change the tires back - just did it last night...unpack the car...and wait for the next one...
I would say to some folks - stretch your horizons a bit. Some people travel to parts of the deep South, etc. and up to Nebraska for some great competition. We're talking a couple of hours or so in this case. Some of us do that for every Zmax event. And, according to Furious 7, "It's about family". So, support the family. :-(

Well crap. I wasn't relishing the thought of standing around in the rain all day, but since I desperately need seat-time and it's obviously going to rain SOMETIME at a future event, I was kind of looking forward to getting it under my belt!

Crap. Enough said on that one.
I was planning on taking the interstate to a Sunday SCR event in Florence after we finished at Black Lake. Guess I'll go through the woods. Anyone that'd like to caravan (or codrive), give me a ring.

Of the persons I know who were not planning to go, myself included, NONE of us were skipping the event due to the distance. There are other factors: Scrambling to get the car back together after an event less than two weeks ago, budgeting essentialy three autocrosses in two weeks, new tires not arrived, lack of coverage for vacation, and a scheduled meeting have all been cited. Not one mentioned the distance, and each of these were from persons who have run past events at Black Lake. |

Sorry the event got cancelled. I am stuck in Puerto Rico for work which is why I was going to have to miss this one. I made the trip to Black Lake for the first time the last event we had there and it was definitely worth the trip. Bummer that it got cancelled but glad I'm not missing out on any fun!

Sorry everyone it's what needed to be done, we hate to cancel any event but it's not worth us dragging all the equipment down there and plus it's gotta be financially sound. With only 50 pre-registered that's basically 2 run groups and risk not enough worker coverage and safety of workers is very important so it's what needs to happen. Anyone who has pay paled their money I'll be carrying it over as a credit to our may 8th event at zmax or next points event after that.

Why do you resent this? If you wouldn't be able to make it to the event regardless of venue then the previous comment isn't directed at you. Wow ... glad I checked in this morning ... I love this event site and was about to drive all the way from Baton Rouge La to attend this event with my son who lives near the site in SC ... was also looking forward to driving the STI in the rain for the first time
Hopefully the 2 day event in June pans out better as we plan to attend that one too

ok … having talked with Scott Dobler at the SEDiv event on the 11th and 12th … he indicated that there might be a 3 SEDiv event … this one at Black Lake and co-sponsored by (I thought he said) CCR

CCR will not be doing any SE Div events. I was in talks with Scott, but the cost is too high for us to run an SE Div event.
