Anyone have a recommendation for a place to buy metals at a decent price in/around Charlotte? New or scrap doesn't matter.

I don't have any info on Charlotte metal retailers. Some here in the Winston area only sell to the trades or get stupid high prices. I have used www.metalsdepot.com/. Prices were better than local even with shipping. |

For new material try Howard Steel off N. Graham in Charlotte. Foil's in Harrisburg has scrap metal that they sell by the pound. You can usually find aluminum, stainless sheet sections and tubing there. Also some of the race teams recycle their aluminum stuff there.
