Any info on the PDX for Aug 12th? When will registration open?

:)Now that the activities from Chasing the Dragon Hillclimb X are being wrapped up,the "Daylight to Darkness" sanction documents are being generated and upon approval we will be issued the insurance and SCCA sanction numbers. Hopefully those will be received from the SCCA national office in time to allow opening registration around the end of June.Since this is a high speed potential speedway course, there will be no novice permits allowed for the PDX as was the case last year. Intermediate or advanced only for the PDX. The Friday date will also include cars from the SCCA Targa event so there will be a lot of cars there going thru the grid. PDX entry fee will be $150 the same as the Track Trial.

It is dificult to get an approval for the TT/PDX when the supps are still a big secret. <GRIN>

We are waiting to include information from Mr Wagners "Targa" action plan which runs in conjunction with the PDX/Track Trial.

Not to mention the fact that I have great disdain for their safety protocols, or rather lack thereof, for street cars. |

No, the Targa will be run with PDX and will not eat up any TT time. We will also be starting the PDX/Targa groups earlier to give everyone more track time. Keep in mind new competition drivers need to be exposed to SCCA to keep programs viable. Without these other groups added to a Time Trial track event we could not pay the bills. Charlotte is not cheap. We would love to offer a stand alone TT at all our facilities if we could afford it.
