Also, the supps refer to the 2007 TTR and 2007 SEDIV TT rules in several places. Will either of those be available soon? Also, in the supps it refers to "revised seat-belt rules pertaining to Track Trials as specified in GCR. " I cannot find any mention of this in the 2006 or 2007 GCR, or any recent Fastracks. This is especially confusing for non-GCR classes like Street Prepared.
Also, it says "All drivers will need a SCCA numbered, Vehicle Log Book. If you need a log book, make arrangements before the event" How does one obtain a logbook in advance?
I'm sorry for all the questions, but I want to get everything taken care of well in advance, so I don't end up missing out on this event.

Both, but all my questions pertain to the time trials half of it.

Gents, From my understanding the 2007 TTR will not be ready till April 15th - I don't write em just review em. On the logbook standpoint I am the logbook number leterouter. Those in charge of tech for this event may use one the light blue RR logbooks and mark the number on the front as long as the car will be run in Level 3 and 4 events. Have the inspector check over the car and somewhere on the roll bar/cage mark the number off of the log book. IF you have the car ROAD RACE legal then get the inspector to do a RR annual inspection - no need to buy 2 logbooks since the Road Race logbooks are legal at TT's. My email address is mrothermelATmindspring.com if you have questions. Sorry I probably won't make it up since it is Easter - I enjoy running at CMP and hope you'all a good time. Tell Mash not to race the ATV too hard.

The phone number at the bottom of the registration form supplemental info - for the TT works just fine. Just called it - but I don't want to post it here as we have some "outsiders" who have been messing with our site.
Also - the registration form link is included at the top of this thread, where it says "click here"! Click on it...save it to your computer and it has all the info, including a phone number for the organizer.

Will Novice Time Trial licenses be available at the event? What is the cost? I've done two HPDEs with NASA (HPDE2 at this point), and I'd like to start doing some events with SCCA too.
I'll be driving a '91 Miata, and it has the Hard Dog Solo 1 roll bar in it, so I should be good for tech.
I'll be signing up once I figure all this out.
*Just remembered I'll have to renew my SCCA license, I let my membership expire a while back, as I had stopped autocrossing for a bit. That should be easy enough though.
Thanks! Matt

Nevermind, I misunderstood:
The regulations call for a 12-B:C or greater rated fire extinguisher in THE PADDOCK AREA for each car.

I'll convert the supplemental regs from a MS-Word document to a PDF so anyone can download it. It'll be tomorrow, when I'm at the office, before I can convert it.... will update the CCR site and here with the second link.

Nevermind, I misunderstood: The regulations call for a 12-B:C or greater rated fire extinguisher in THE PADDOCK AREA for each car. Its a good idea to have a fire extinguisher available at your paddock area at any time. However, if it became an "issue", you could probably borrow one from the CCR trailer at CMP for a small act of kindness. We usually don't put all the big extinguishers out.

I would think that it would be a good idea to have as many entrants as possible at these events, in order to cover costs. Therefore I find it odd that no promotion or mention on other local region forums ever happens. I'm a member of NC Region and I post it there and on a few other forums that I'm a member of. I would think all the regions within a 200 mile radius would be your market. Also, with the conflict between the Wolf Ridge hillclimb and the Nashville TT, I would think that really needs some heavy and early promotion, outside the region. Don't misunderstand, I'm only trying to help and I will do what I can. How do you think those folks from Pennsylvania, that came down, heard about the Blueridge Hillclimb?

That's why CCR needs someone to volunteer as a marketing / promotion person... Board members can't do everything!

Since transponder number is a required field, there doesn't seem to be a way to preregister if you're planning on renting a transponder. Should we just put in 9999999 or something like that if we don't know?

That should work...now that I've put in my new transponder number...I had used 9999999 to online register, too...

From the supplemental regs: I was under the impression that this could be done at the event. What do I need to do to acquire one then (as my car has never been logbooked yet)? EDIT: I just reread the thread and realized the logbook question has already been asked, but I didn't quite understand the answer. Also, it appears that we can pay via paypal, but it doesn't specify what email address to use for sending the paypal payment. So where do we send it?

I didn't find a medical form in the TT supps. Did I just miss it?

Great...thanks. --- After rereading fv90's post, is he saying still we can still get logbooks at the event, but they will actually be road-race logbooks instead or do I still need to somehow get my annual tech and TT logbook prior to the event?

OK!, I'm back in the Civilian sector and from the chatter on the forum, I see that some feedback is needed. There is no medical form required for the Track Trial nor Solo at CMP in April. For new TT cars there will be Car Log books available at tech. This event is based on the SCCA 2006 Time Trial Rulebook. Seat belt age is 5 years for TT cars if they meet all standards otherwise. If you do not have a Time Trial license get on the phone to the SCCA National licensing person fax/scan email an application from the SCCA forms site and gert your license. It costs $35.00 and takes about five minutes. If a physical is required, print the form and take it to your favorite medical provider, get it signed and include that with your application. If the card will not be in your hands at the time of track registration, then print the email showing confirmation of your license and bring it with you to the track. If anyone needs a copy of the supps/entry form then let me know and I will email it to you or fax it.

Matt, The April CMP, "Spring Fling" Track Trial Supplemental, states that the event regulations are based on the "2006 SCCA TIME TRIAL RULES, 2007 SEDIV TIME TRIAL RULES and SCCA CLUB RACING 2007 GCR" all competitors are supposed to access these on the available Web SCCA sources and familiarize themselves with what applies to their particular car and class. The GCR for Club Racing is not normally needed if you are running the Street prepared Solo classes. There are deviations from the Club Racing GCR for Time Trials that are spelled out in the TT rules.
