I just found a note (dated 16/5/2007) on the SCCA boards from Jeremy Thoennes, with link for the 2007 TT rules. Have not had a chance to read and examine yet. Hope this link works: www.scca.com/_FileLibrary/File/2007TTR.pdf

I see that Level 3 and Level 4 still have no seat rule for 2007 (they used the same rule wording from the 2006 TTR, which only lists the Level 3 and Level 4 requirement that takes effect 1/1/2008, but has no pre-2008 requirements listed).
On the plus side, they have added Street Prepared and Street Modified to some of the rules now (like the windshield clips / window straps rules and the fuel rules) which should help clear that part up, however there is still no mention of those classes in the ignition cutoff section.

Or the sunroof bolting in section, or many other sections. I've been using the SS prep rules as a guide, but while I should be able to get the car logbooked, it won't meet the letter of the rules.
I hate to say it, but even at this late date it looks like they rushed out the rules.

Agreed - We may also have found a difference in roll bar rules from Level 3 to 4. We will need to get the word out that if you want to run the hillclimbs build for Level 4. At NSS this w/e the voice of TT was heard as Wyndi McCormick from SCCA was visiting.

It appears most (all?) of these inconsistencies have been addressed in the June Fastrack.
Also, it appears that the roll cage requirement for hillclimbs is now official starting in 2011, and then conforming to GCR standards in 2013.

You are correct, Matt, it looks like the TTAC proposals in the June 2007 FasTrack deal with the issues I noted. It still doesn't really specify what is officially required until those proposals become official rules (assuming they actually do), though, so I guess we just stick with what we have for now until something is solidified. Don't forget that these are all "proposals to the BOD" though. They still could be rejected by the BOD or be swayed by member input, so if you disagree with any of it, write in! I tend to disagree with the need for rollcages on hillclimbs, but at least currently prepped cars get until 2013 to change over under the proposed rules. For all I know, I may run one hillclimb, then change my mind and decide I should have a cage for that...LOL
