Chilliwilli needs a gas mask and flip-flops to complete that ensemble, though I doubt that most folks would notice. If you've been watching the Tour de France, then you've seen some craziness, including one guy on one climbing stage in the Alps wasn't dressed at all as he ran alongside the leaders going up the mountain.
Speaking of mountains, as Mark stated, the countdown is on to The Rock-N-Road Hillclimb at Eagle's Nest, Banner Elk. This is going to be more than a hillclimb event. Live music, good food, a beautiful setting with the greatest mountain views--you can't beat it.
If you don't race in hillclimbs, just come to watch or better yet, if you are an SCCA member, come work. We still have some worker positions other thans "race chair's slave" that are still un-claimed. If you want more info or want to work, e-mail: tony@ccrscca.com and we'll get you fixed up.

Sounds good after a few days around the century mark...see ya' there! Weather Prediction for CSP- Cool weather and hot competition... Willie's clutch is barely hanging on and his tires are 2 years old now. Insiders are saying his best time he'll run will be on the video he shot for us last month. I can't put parts on my car as fast as they fall off... and I'm getting worn out just trying to put the car back together in time for friday. My memory is getting so bad I'm not sure I can find the course much less Banner Elk. 7 AM!!! Parts of my body don't wake up until 9 and 10 o' Clock!!! I may have to slip TJ into my suit and let him run a few runs for me. Mark's lost weight and he's got NEW TIRES!!! and I know he's hungry!!! Las Vegas oddsmakers are saying put your money on Mr. Seiler!!!

Las Vegas oddsmakers are saying put your money on Mr. Seiler!!! Ahem, there is a Mr. Glodowski that may take issue with your prognostication...it's not so much the steely glint of a gunfighter in his eyes as it is the ice water in his veins. After Willie's performance at Wolf he's definitely not to be taken lightly...with Elvira's constant tweaking by a Mr. Cox it should be a weekend to remember...I hope I stay on the hill...

Glodowski is definitely in the mix ...no doubt. I've watched him run several times. I'm still picking lean mean Mark with the new tires.
Constant tweaking? I wish... unfortunately, he's got his own CSP car he's building up. I tell you, I've learned more watching Jeremy drive....he could take a convertible Geo Metro with 2 spark plug wires missing and a safety donut on the right rear and whip us all. He won't do it of course because he's a nice guy and doesn't want to depress us. ;D Look out next year when he's got that car finished... he's fast in it now and he hasn't even started!!
Should be a great weekend. I just wish I knew more about setting up those darn IRTBs ... don't let all this speculation rattle you Mark. I'm counting on you taking Willie down. I'm going to go slow and have conversations with the course workers during my runs... I learned that by racing a Bugeye in H Prod at Road Atlanta back in the 80's!!! ;D

I dint know what made me take a look on here actually just looking at times from last Sun. and realized there is some new propaganda on this thread. had I not ck'd it out I might not have realized that I needed to bring a pair of hip wader's with me I just hate getting smelly brown wet stuff on my knee caps by the way I didn't realize hill climbs would get so expensive after Fuji racing got done with me and I got my Tien double adj. coil over W/ electronic valving, well do you think maybe y'all could buy me lunch or something pockets are a little thin . Actually my prediction is it'll go to one of the 1.8 car's there is no substitute for CI or CC the 1.8 cars should have to pull 1 spark plug wire or add 5oo# to their cars so as not to have an advantage. Looking forward to seeing everyone there as always CSP is gonna be dog eat dog or cat eat cat or Miata eat Miata or something like that. ;D ;D ;D Willie

Here's the Willie Wins Theory: Keith Taylor in his X-1/9(I had a '74...great car...that one day it ran right...but I digress) has generaly beaten the CSP winner by 1-2 seconds over the past few seasons. Willie beat Keith by over a second at Wolf. Ergo, Chillie Willie is Da' Man2Beat, YO! Too bad Wally Lacey isn't running, the battle he had last year at Crow with DaveG was amazing...cars unloaded off trailers for one more run, that kinda stuff, Wally blew everyone away on his last run...he has that habit I've found...should be a good weekend regardless...Tater is playing Sunday from 3-6 WOOHOO!!!

Here's my take on the deal I still give the odds to the 1.8 cars they definitely have a big tq/hp advantage and in hill climb thats what counts, so that being said it's gonna be the fearless fanged beauty from SC or one of the devils coming up from georgia ( I thought it was suppose to be the devil went down to georgia) anyway the 1.6's dont stand a chance I appriciate the nice comments Mark but I'm not letting my guard down the slightest I think I'll bring an extra air cleaner for all the dust I'll be sucking up. Although y'all better watch out for Mark cause he also is not a slouce he'll be nippin at your heels and one little slip up and it''l be see ya!!!!!!! Thats just my take on the whole deal.

Fuji racing got done with me and I got my Tien double adj. coil over W/ electronic valving Are you pulling our leg or did you get new stuff? If you got new stuff, I want to take a look... As for those hip waders, bring a few based on the way Mark and Ted are throwing it around!!

Well not really I just figured since Ted had IRTB's and stuff I had to have stuff I did get a cold air intake but not sure if I like it bringing the stock air box just in case. The hip waders are a must Ted and Mark have me slinging it around too so I'm bringing the heavy duties. ;D Willie

I DO have a secret weapon to unleash... but I can't reveal it until after 5:00PM on sunday. Besides, it might be the very edge that lifts me out of 5th place and into 4th!!!!! ;D
I'm still betting on : 1. Mark "Lightening" Seiler 2. Willie "Hot Shoes" Stock
I got to go sharpen some fangs... see you up there.

Just got back from Eagles nest....quite a show folks... combination of car show, battle of bands, hillclimb and just a good time in the mountains. Fantastic setting and scenery.
I know this will come as a shock, but as I was leaving - George Bowland was winning.
And - ChillyWilly sure can drive a Meotter...wow.
