Beech Mt video

I drove that hillclimb three times and always worried about the safety of spectators on the final 2 corners. It was the fastest section and had spectators lining the bank on the left. I nearly lost it going thru the finish the first year, myself.

I have a lot of in car footage from Beech Mtn. The last two turns never did seem to me to be that much of an issue, but I found 104 mph to be the fastest that I could drive and watch the speed radar screen. It seemed that the harder I tried to pay attention to the readout the faster my mph fell off.

I am building a repository (and eventually a website) for all the old hillclimb stuff from southeast. Videos, records, results, pictures. Anyway I can get a copy of those?

I did have the business card of the guy that did the video spot. He was putting together a video feature on the Beech Mountain Hill Climb and I sent him a tape of my in car camera stuff. My guess is that it was not completed.
