Ok...I'm confused... My SCCA membership renewal was accompanied by a TT License Application (same as the one I sent in after my TT school in June). Based on this and the wording on the SCCA website (where you can only renew memberships online, not licenses), does this mean I will need to fill out this application every year when I renew (vs just filling out the renewal form and paying like you do for the membership)? From what I've researched, this is true of the Club Racing License renewal (i.e. new application every year), but it has "new or renewal" for each license type choice on the application form, where the TT form has nothing of the sort (only "Novice Time Trial" or "Time Trial Driver").

I filled out the form again in year 2. They also wanted a physical since I'm an old fart. I pointed out that I only had to get the physical every 2 years and that since last year was my first year and required the physical that this was my second year for that doctor visit so I didn't need to go see the quack again. It took a few phone calls but, they finally got their sh*t together. Remember: Rules are made in Topeka, by Topeka, for Topeka...Topeka Uber Allis!

Same thing happened to me. I wrote a note with my renewal check and said "Hey! What gives?" and explained the situ. No response but card came with Full TT License on it. I think the key is assume you are dealing with an 8 year old and over explain everything. Don't laugh ...it works. It took me three months to get dual membership with CCR and SCR... along the way, I was told "you can't do that", that "this s handled at the regional level", and all kind'a good stuff. I wrote a note to the BIG Boss and explained my frustration and... no response but problem was fixed. They are not bad people out there... just like to get square pegs in the mail so they can slide them in to the square hole when they come out of the envelope. When you send in a cylinder...they get lost for a little while. This is not SCCA ...this is business in America! ;D

For competition license, they alway send a medical form with the renewal. I think it is just part of the package. Don't worry about it, just send in your license application if your medical is current. They have the data at Topeka. That is what I did last year, this year I am due for my Medical.

Yeah, the medical form I wasn't particularly worried about (as I sent mine in last year with the original novice app (then again with the TT comp app) and I'm still in the "every 5 years" age range currently), I was just making sure I needed to fill out the license app and include it with my renewal form instead of just sending the renewal form with my $115 attached. Same thing happened to me Steve. Umm...the only posts above yours are "Shane" and "Mark"...who is Steve?
