Well, I've started down the path of doing TT and possibly even some CR events this year. I just sent in my novice race application as well as registered for the double school at Roebling at the end of this month. I found a F500 to rent for a great price. If everything works out and I love the car, then the Elise will be going on the market and I will start my search for a F500. In the mean time I am going to start crewing for as many F500 events as I can. Hope to see you out on the track/hill soon!

It is actually a 4 day school and starts on Thursday. If you would like to come down on any day you are more than welcome. I can add you onto the crew list to get you in. The car rental includes track side support the entire event so I'm covered from that aspect. I'm sure the region could use some help though with corner working and such. Give me a call if you want me to add you to the crew list.

Congrat Chris... glad to see you making the next step!!!!
I sure will miss seeing that Elise around though.
Give me a call if I can help ... I may know where a F500 is for sale reasonable price and ...very... competitive. I'll try to find out more about it...it's in Texas.

Thanks Ted! I really won't start looking for a car until after the school at the end of this month just to make sure I really like the car. I'll keep that in mind though.
If you are looking to get some test data on your Hero camera, I would be more than willing to run it through its paces at the 4 day school! ;D ;D ;D
By the way, what is the expected battery life and does the camera have a way to hard wire it to a 12V car system. That is my biggest complaint on my Samsung Sports Camera. The battery life is horrible and it doesn't have a 12V plug so I have to keep an inverter secured in the car to power the camera. For autocross the battery life wasn't a big deal, but when you want to record a 30 minute track session it just wouldn't make it to the end.

Chris... We ran the Hero Pro all weekend at an event. A 2 GB card will hold 1 hour of filming... press the button and it will run until full. Battery life is not the hold up. We would make a run, pull the camera off plug a wire in the side and drop it on a lap top in less than 2 minutes. I am seriously thinking about getting a distributorship for these guys. Neat little system.

Nice to see more of the Solo guys making the transition to TT. ;D
My freshly renewed TT comp license should be arriving any day now, ready for my 2nd season of TT (and most likely my 1st season of hillclimbs, as well).
