Great article in Grassroots Motorsports Magazine this month on hillclimbing. The featured event was our Wolf Ridge Hillclimb from last season. Lots of discussion regarding CCR-SCCA and the CCR family.
Some good photos, and a number of brief interviews with CCR members are included in the article. My favorite photo is the sun setting behind my old Corvette.
Good luck to all the TT/Hillclimb folks during this season and hopefully GRM will get the chance to attend one or two of them again.

I'm pretty sure they've been invited to both events.

Sent a note to Mr. Lear regarding the article and invited them to this year's hillclimbs. received a nice reply from him and a high resolution copy of the sunset photo from the article.
Great magazine and great folks.

Finally. We have been waiting on that story for some time. I can at least thank them for getting the story out before the next event. I guess I should have specified a shorter time-frame when I made the offer for them to come up and run the first event for free, if we get some press on the race. Love how Tony did all the work, though. Hmmmmmm........ Not overly thrilled about those comments. I am glad for the article. I really hope that it draws competitors and spectators alike. We need the spectators at our next event on June 7&8 so make sure that everyone that you know, knows about the event and comes up. You will not believe this hill!

There are some great pictures in the article. Your Corvette looks especially good, Shane. Happy to see the article was finally published for us all. Editorial constraints and the size of the article are what caused the delays. On the bright side, it came out fairly close to this year's WRHC, hope it will help spawn interest in the event. We are blessed to have 2 excellent hill climb events in our region-both well worth attending. Hopefully, both will be equally supported and attended this year.

I agree that Grassroots is the only magazine that covers us and I truely appreciate it. The fact that it came out so close to this years event will be a blessing, in that it should generate interest. Please go on their forum and thank them. www.grassrootsmotorsports.com

Yes, good article by GRM. Earlier would have been nice, but with it coming out a few months before the 2008 event we'll hopefully get more participation.
Now if the Wolf Ridge site can just get updated for 2008....

I'm pretty sure they've been invited to both events. I spoke with Scott and Per this week. Scott looked at the Eagle's Nest website and thought it might make a good trip for them. He has placed it on his calendar and knows of no conflicts that would prevent as long as Tim OK's it. Hopefully, someone will come. Registration for this event will open this coming week, along with the Time Trial event at CMP. Come one, come all. By the way, we need volunteer workers from all activities of our club for the Memorial Monster Double SARRC and Time Trial events being held May 24-26 at CMP. Please pass the word!
