USERA Endurance Championship Adds Two More Events to 2007 Schedule
DANVILLE, VA. (February 13, 2007) – The United States Endurance Racing Association will be joining the Central Carolina Region SCCA (CCR) for two exciting summer weekends at Carolina Motorsports Park on Memorial Day Weekend and Lowes Motor Speedway in June.
The USERA Endurance Championship offers endurance championship races for popular club racing cars, including Spec Miata, Spec Racer Ford, Improved Touring and Showroom Stock cars. In addition to these standard classes, the Championship has two general purpose classes for sedans that come from other club groups or other professional racing series.
The Carolina Motorsports Park event on Memorial Day Weekend will be a three hour or longer endurance race on Memorial Day. The June event at Lowes will be a shorter single driver one and half hour endurance race.
“We are very excited to be joining Central Carolina Region on these two weekends,” said Ken Grammer, President of USERA. “And we are looking forward to working with the Region’s event planners to make these weekends exciting for both SCCA and USERA drivers.”
The addition of the two events with CCR brings the current number of USERA Endurance Championship races to 6. The 2007 schedule is as follows:
