Looking primarily for a 1999+ Miata. I will consider first generation Miatas as well but that has effects on my financing, namely 5% worse APR. I'm also open to suggestions on other fun, reliable, and high MPG cars. Must be low miles (sub 100k) and in good shape.
Let me know, Chris Newport

How much do you have to spend? Just curious.

Guess that would be good to include, for a second generation car I'm looking to spend $9-12k. Lowest mileage with a good service history is my biggest priority.

Our Miata club gets e-mails from people selling. I'll post when I see something. Also we have 4 members (that I know of) that own used car lots. Also one member is the parts manager at Montgomery Mazda. They always have some decent used ones for sale.
Right now, the only one I kow of from a club member is a 2002 red with leather for $16k.

In talks with Keffer Hyundai on Independance about their 1999 w/ 63k. Has some rear bumper damage and clutch fluid level is mysteriously low, but the price might be right (going in to talk to them again shortly). I test drove it the other day but I'm going to try to get it on a lift today for a good look underneath and hopefully I'll be signing some papers! They're pushing it to sell today as last day of the month. I know they get bonuses for hitting quotas and all but it's not like the car turns into a pumpkin at midnight or anything...

Clutch fluid is probably a leaky slave cylinder. Easy fix, $35 at Auto Zone and about an hour to replace and bleed it. Cake... I'll help you with the slave cylinder if ya like...

I'm not used to forums that let guests post so I keep posting without realizing I'm not logged in Bought and picked up today Total price ended up being $9500, "sale price" was $8700, but after their fees I basically paid $9200 for it. I'll put up pictures when I take them tomorrow, it got dark on me tonight. Maybe not the deal of the century, but I feel alright about it as my first negotiation experience! It's fun from what little driving I've done! Will be driving home to Raleigh to show it to the family sometime this week. I was going to do it on the weekend but just noticed that the Knight's autoX is then... and I should sign up for that! Crap! I'm supposed to get my tires mounted for free by a friend that day too... First order of business was 4 Falken Azenis RT-615 195-60-14. Maybe I'll have to pay for the mounting during the week.... -Chris

When's the Carolinas Miata Club going to allow advertizing on their web-site?
