I need something newer/nicer than my old Golf to drive everday so I'm looking for the absolute nicest first gen Miata I can find. Preferably it would have less than 100k miles although a little over isn't a big deal as long as it's a real nice car. I'm not very picky as far as options or colors go other than it must have air conditioning and I'd like to avoid short nose crank cars. I've got $6000 spend. If you've got one or know of one that might fit what I'm looking for please let me know. Thanks.

Re: Crank nose, per Miata.net: VIN 209447 or higher you are OK That's mid-91 and later.

Location? Charlotte, Hickory, Winston? $6000 will get you into just about any NA (90-97) that you can find. If you're going to go forced induction, don't get newer than 95, 96 started OBD-II and has an O2 sensor after the cat. It doesn't respond well to opening up the exhaust. Check out the Miata club too - www.carolinasmiataclub.com/This site - www.geocities.com/MotorCity/5361/ - is a good spotters guide. I'll e-mail the Miata club and see if anyone knows of something.

It's a black 95 leather package. Found it in Hendersonville. No pics yet. I'll try to swing by that tech day depending on when I get off work on Sat. How late in the day do you think all of you will be there?

Ok. Hopefully I can sneak out of work early so I can make it. A friend of mine who just bought a red 92 might also come.
Thanks. I'm loving it so far. It's a huge step up from my Golf for a daily driver.
