and...... you can beat me with your steering wheel and pedals..... but........ you're not going to beat me with a rule book. Somebody think they can protest the classification of my car?  Bring it on. Obviously, I know the SCCA's National Solo 2006 Rules better than you do.....and how to read the supplements as printed in Fastrack pertaining to STS2. ........just in case this is a public issue. Otherwise.....disregard. |

Rich, I am simply posting this because someone whom was ignorant of SCCA's STS2 rules had pointed out to me that I was cheating. Of course, I am not.
I wanted this to be in public, just in case there had been public disscussion of this matter. I don't believe there has been, but you never know.
I can assure anyone reading this post I thouroughly understand all of the rules regarding car classification and allowable modifications in my class. I will go over those rules in print with anyone....thus saving a protest fee for the potential protester, as well as emabarrisment.

Geez, if someone's gonna protest you on the local level they've got some audacity. I know more than half the STS cars I run against in my local region have one thing or another that's not legal. Sorry to hear that JB. Tell them if you run against them at a national event and they have an issue to file a formal protest not this verbal BS.

Nobody threatened to protest me. No one would ever have to protest me.
I was simply informed by someone that my car was not eligible for STS2, but I would still be allowed to compete. Sort of....
No big deal - everything is understood now.
