Autocross is fricken awesome! I came out to the NTI event today, I was the girl in the black corvette (I like to spin out!!) and I had SO much fun. Everyone I met today was so friendly, so willing to help out. I got so much great advice and information and feel like I really got to push the limits of my car. Auto-X is something I've been meaning to do for a LONG time, but just never got around to. Why ever did I wait so long?! I've been drag racing in Mooresville (had a pewter Z28) for quite a while, and I think auto-x is a lot more fun. I made a lot of fast friends today - thanks to those of you who let me ride along, WOW! Hard to wipe the smile off of my face. As for myself, allow me to introduce....myself ;D I am Kelly, 21, I live right in Charlotte, NC. I'm an ASE certified tech and just recently moved over to VW to push paper in a warranty job - I was getting really sick of wrenching @ Chrysler, I had to quit as working on cars was becoming too much of a chore and not fun anymore. I recently sold my pewter '00 Z28 and bought a corvette a couple weeks ago, not regretting the change at all ;D Definitely looking forward to more auto x events!! Here's my vette, I have added a couple things as you can see since I bought it Here's my old Z28. If you've ever been out to the dragstrip you have probably seen me there. Thanks again for a great time today!!

Likewise Kelly - it was great to meet you today and was fun to see you pick up on your runs today. Hope you continue to come out and spend time with us! Please ask us any questions and feel free to chat with us online.
BTW - our next event is the world famous 24 hour autocross that is held on Labor day weekend. You get a season's worth of runs and plenty of folks to help. So it is a great opportunity to get a lot of practice time.
Shane - i'm the assistant Tech guy and worker stew. Annudder exalt fer ya!

Doesn't look like they are up yet. The official link is on the www.ccrscca.com home page, on the top is a "results" tab and if you scroll all the way down on that page you will find them when available. Also, Steven occasionally will post a link to a page where he loads them before they come up on this site. Generally just a day or so. Have fun and come back - you looked like you had fun out there.

Nice meeting all of you, also. Welcome to the fun Kelly. Glad you enjoyed yourself and it was nice to see you again. Definatly keep coming out, we only have a handfull of corvette's showing up and its great to see them trying to control thier power on our little tracks. Definitely. It was nice seeing you again too - I don't know know what it is lately but I keep running into people from school. Just the other day I saw Frank (I don't know if you remember him, he had a red turbo civic and I called him NippleBoobies).

There are plenty of Vettes that usually show up at the Columbia events.
If you come to the SCR event make sure you say hello to the slow guy with the #7 black MINI. I know he likes to drive corvettes during fun runs.

There is an event this weekend with SCR-SCCA in Columbia, I think I may go to that!! Nice to have met ya at NTI last weekend. We're always glad to see another Vette driver show up. Come on down to Columbia Saturday for the SCR event. Spidey and I will be there along with several others from the Columbia and Charleston Vette clubs. BTW....My daughter does the same work as you. Autocross is fricken awesome! Kelly now you see why I was harasing everyone at the UNCC meets to show up. But no one would ever listen it was like pulling teeth trying to get people to show up. Maybe now that you have started to go people will atleast listen to you. P.S. Tell Alvin to get his ZO6 out there.

Were you the same one that took the ride along in the red Miata on the first run? If so it was nice meeting you. I was the skinny guy with big sideburns hanging around the grid in Run Group #1. I'm sure you realized very quickly that my course analysis is horrible and especially rotten when applying it to high HP RWD cars or any car for that matter.

I am bad with names but I believe the guy I rode with was Kurt. What a rush!!

I think I was announcing during your runs so I didn't get to pay much attention. From what I saw though you weren't afraid to of a little right foot when the time was right.
