This thread is for forming Team Nissan. Here are the current drivers on the team roster:

2.) Michael Bright (PBSP) 350Z

5.) Lance Elbertson (STX) SpecV

8.) Steve Shin (GS) SE-R
9.) Andy Crawford (DM) 240SX
10.) Steve Prince (BSP) 240Z
11.) Marvin Sightler (NGS) SpecV
12.)
Based on the proposed rules, we meet the minimum requirements.

I haven't spoken to him directly in a month or so. I know that he is in Daytona right now. I was going to call him next week when he got back.

Yes....Mike did express that to me. Hopefully when he gets back from Daytona he'll continue to feel that way. He'd be a great ace in the hole.

I will hopefully be competing in my SR-powered 240SX soon, but am driving my M3 until such time as I get all the bugs worked out. Do I count?

I don't have a problem with it, as long as you drive the Nissan at some point during the season.
More importantly is how the other team members feel about this, because I am not the sole decision maker.

I don't have a problem with Andy competeing with the team.
The only question I do have is, what are the requirements for team membership (Team Nissan)?

Hmm, my opinion on that would be that the driver competes in a Nissan for the majority of the season. What do you guys think?

I have no problem with that either. 'Course....I would mention that I have a friend from my Z Club who's taken up AutoXing recently. He owns an old 280....but it's stripped down for a restoration (and upgrade). He's looking for another Z...but hasn't found one yet and has been AutoXing his WRX. When I mentioned the Team AutoX....he was quite interested.
So I guess the question is thus: Could we allow him to race with the team since he is a Nissan owner and given the fact that he's searching out another Nissan?
Oh....in other news. I think we might have an 07 350Z interesting in playing with us. He'll be finished breaking the engine in soon....and he called me about the Novice school tonight...and also asked me about the Team. So we might have another BS car.

We will count the times you run in the M3 in the meantime. I'm also putting Tony on the list. He has agreed to join the team, don't ask me how, it's a long story. |

I would like to reserve the final two spots for the following drivers.
Lance Elbertson - STX
John Lambert - GS
Both drive SpecV's and had great PAX times at the last event. I've talked to both and I think they would be very interested in joining Team Nissan. More importantly, they will be showing up at every event in a Nissan.
Additionally, I think it's fair to have a nice balance of different Nissans. With this lineup we will have four SE-Rs, four 350Zs, one 240Z and one 240SX. I think that's a good distribution and represents Nissan well.
That fills up 10 spots, so Justin, I don't want to step on your toes with your 350Z recruiting. Remember, if any one of the 10 drivers ends up not showing up regularly, they can be dropped from the team. The rule is that we have to have at least 5 original members of the roster throughout the entire season to avoid any team from cherry picking different drivers at every event.
With that, I will add Lance and John as tentative members.

Works for me. I doubt Morris would show up at all the events anyway....but should we be short a team member at any event he's attending, I bet we could get him to fill in. 'Course...he'll probably be running NBS anyway....so I don't know if that would make a difference. Same goes with another friend of mine. He's got an SM2 G35. Though again...he'll be running Novice.
Anywhoo....looks like we've got a great lineup. Can't wait for this to get rolling.
