If we're to have another team europe, I'd like to draft as many members as we had from last year for this year. Let me know! Greg

RacerX here to say I will be returning as a member of Team Europe driving my Mach 7. Actually, a TR7, also known as a cheese wedge, door stop, the downfall of British Leyland, the shape of things that break, did I miss any? Cheers all, RacerX.

I'll be back. Planning on running E Stock in Triumph TR8 - the car that Car and Driver called "Nothing less than the reinvention of the sports car" - in 1980. Save all the wedge jokes for RacerX - his will be the one in H Stock.

I won't have a European car this time. The Elise is most likely going to be replaced with a Formula 500 car. I'm not sure what team I'll join with a formula car.

Chris -
If you're going to Autocross that F500 (when you get it), I think that financing it (sorta) from the sale of a YerOpean car (the Elise) quailifies you to remain on team YourUp - particularly if you are willing to carry on as Team Captain.
WhaDaYa Say?

If you guys still want me I up for it. I probably won't even have a car for the first event though. I'll revive the roster from last year and lets see how many people chime in.

Being that Formula 1 cars are of European origin, I say you should run with Team Europe. If you decide to keep the Elise, I would be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice and give up the chance to drive my TR7, and drive the Elise for the good of the team. Cheers, RacerX

1. Chris Ross 2. Jack McGahey ES Triumph TR8 3. Aimee Fincher 4. ?Joe Downer? GS Mini Cooper S 5. ?Brad Gates? FSP VW Rabbit 6. ?Adam Devoe? DSP VW GTI 7. Greg Brunellle - EP VW Super Beetle 8. ?Mark Oppedisano? DP Triumph Spitfire 9. Jon Canupp HS Triumph TR7 10. Bob Yetarian ASP Lotus Elise (Maybe GS in Mini Cooper) 11. ?Rob Faulkner? PAS Porsche Boxster 12. ?Wade Carpenter? AS Porsche Boxster Current Roster If your name has question marks you have until the end of January to confirm your place on the team (or run away screaming!). If not, your spot will be open for recruiting. I would also request that you make an honest assessment of your participation throughout the year. If you honesty know that you won't make it to more than a couple of events this year, please let me know so we can have a chance to fill your spot. Participation is the first step to having a shot at the team competition. We need to make sure we can field 5 unique classes at every event.

I would love to be back in Team Europe again! As for my participation, I need to see about the schedule. Is the solo schedule even up yet? Last year it was GREAT cause one of the events was during my spring break which was SO great. If I remember correctly from the tentative schedule, there aren't many events between now and May (?).
I know for sure that I will not be there for Feb 23.... the 24th is up in the air at the moment.
Basically I need to get back with you on my participation. I'm still figuring out my schedule for the year. I DO know with a good bit of certainty that I will be able to be at all of the summer and fall events. The spring events are just the ones that are unknown at the moment.
So I'll let you know about that. I don't know what car(s) I'll be running this year but if you don't mind me not necessarily having a European car every time, I'd LOVE to be on the team again! (And.... I feel like I've finally improved enough so that I can possibly contribute to the team competition ;D.)
Ok sorry that was long and rambling. I will let you know very specifically what my participation will be as soon as they post the dates. (Or have I missed them? If I have, send me the link and then I'll let you know.)

No problem Aimee. Anybody who was on the team last year gets a spot this year if they want it. I just want people to be honest on their intended participation level. If you know you probably won't be able to attend a lot of the events this year, then give someone else a chance to join in on the fun. I understand if stuff comes up during the year and it forces you to miss some events. Just looking for good intentions to start the year off. ;D

I haven't decided which car I am going to run more this season. I know the Mini will likely be more competitive in its class than the Lotus is in ASP, but the Lotus is just more fun. I did order the Mini with LSD just incase

Ok so my participation between now and May is still up in the air... but I am pretty confident that I can make 6 out of the 9 events. (Basically i'm pretty confident I can make all the ones after May 3. Maybe I'll surprise myself and be able to make the May one or March or something.) Oh, and the probability that I will actually contribute to Team Europe is getting better! Drove the Abomination yesterday and was only .2 behind FTD! Of course.... Then I hit a couple cones. ;D But that's the story of my entire autocross career so far! If I can just quit hitting stuff! Seriously, though...I think I finally am getting better!

I sold the FSP Rabbit, and have yet to find anything to replace it. So, for now at least, count me out. Brad

I am probably going to miss the first event because I need to study for the GMAT, but let me know if you're interested in a co-drive later in the season. Bob

Hey Guys! I sold my Cooper S and bought a MG Midget vintage racer. Just finished the double driver's school @ Roebling Road so I will not be auto-x this year. Good Luck to Team Europe!

Bob Hey Bob. I am still looking for the right Miata for a CSP project. I just got back from a four day trip looking at colleges for my daughter. Gritting my teeth thinking how that's going to effect the race budget. I would be interested in a co-drive. I don't know when I'll have a car together. Let me know if you want to work something out. Ok so this season. . . I'll more than likely be driving a vette. I *think*. Can I still be on team europe? SURE you can - you just have to tape one of the following things to that Vette: - a British flag (don't put it on upside down - Brits are picky about that) or - a sign that says "Honorary LBC" (LBC = Little British Car) or "British Car Wannabe" or "Corvette: The Rich Person's TR8" (TR8 was sometimes called "The Poor Man's Corvette" in its day) or "Proud member of Team Europe - my other cars are all made in Europe!" let me know which ones you like - I'll bring the tape and the signs Cheers, Jack Mc

so, Team eurrop you have the winning combination. Wear out the other teams pushing your broken cars up on trailers!

so, Team eurrop you have the winning combination. Wear out the other teams pushing your broken cars up on trailers! I resemble that remark. It is untrue that I had to push my car onto my trailer after it broke both days last weekend. I winched it on Saturday after it died on course. On Sunday the winch wasn't there to help like she was on Sat. so I jumped power to the fuel pump long enough to fill the float bowls so I could drive it on after it died on grid. Cheers, Jack Mc
